La vita di Emma Swan è stata tutt’altro che una favola, costretta a prendersi cura di se stessa fin da bambina. The story behind Detective James Gordon's rise to prominence in Gotham City in the years before Batman's arrival.

Nel cast principale entreranno anche Benedict Samuel (nei panni di Jervis Tetch) e Maggie Geha (Ivy Pepper).

Alla fine della precedente stagione avevamo lasciato Gotham City nel caos più totale e ora la situazione non è di certo migliorata: la città è infestata dai mostri di Indian Hill, i quali sono sotto il comando di Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), resuscitata. Gordon (Ben McKenzie) è alle prese con numerosi problemi personali e Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor), di nuovo a capo della malavita in città, accusa la polizia di non fare abbastanza.
Il giovane Bruce (David Mazouz), tornato a casa con Alfred (Sean Pertwee), si reca alla Wayne Enterprise per discutere con i membri del consiglio di questioni precedentemente lasciate irrisolte e per dir loro di essere venuto a conoscenza del piano del Consiglio Segreto: ucciderlo. Tutto ciò, ovviamente, avrà le sue conseguenze …

Nel frattempo Leslie (Morena Baccarin) torna a Gotham City, dopo aver iniziato una relazione con il figlio di Carmine Falcone (John Doman). Inoltre Gordon viene coinvolto dalle vicende squilibrate di Jervis Tetch, l’ipnotizzatore, arrivato in città per cercare la sorella Alice, scomparsa da tempo.

La serie televisiva, di origine statunitense del 2014, è stata ideata da Bruno Heller, con Danny Cannon e John Stephens. Essa rappresenta il prequel\spin-off dell’universo di Batman, mostrando una giovane Gotham City, già attraversata da numerose vicissitudini.
La colonna sonora che la accompagna è di Graeme Revell e David E. Russo.

Appassionati di Batman, amanti delle vicende di Gordon e Bruce e curiosi delle vicende di Gotham City saranno accontentati, ammirando una gloriosa nuova stagione come mai vista prima!

Creata dall’attore e comico, nonché protagonista della serie Aziz Ansari, Master of None riesce a servirvi l’esempio ideale di quello che una voce unica è in grado di portare allo spettatore. Chi ha avuto la possibilità di conoscerlo grazie ai suoi spettacoli comici saprà bene che l'attore di origini indiane è un fiero difensore della diversità, e questo prodotto Netflix ne è l'esempio lampante.

Questa è una serie incentrata particolarmente sulla scoperta, sulla comprensione e la condivisione di nuove prospettive della vita. Sul porsi domande e sulle risposte che il protagonista riesce a darsi con un'intelligenza che non si palesa nei modi di fare ma nella comprensione di ciò che lo circonda. I modi diversi di interpretare ed affrontare i temi di tutti i giorni fa comprendere quanto sia importante per il comico condividere il suo pensiero col suo pubblico.

Dev (Aziz Ansari) è un attore "minore" di New York, il tipo di ragazzo che sembra star bene in qualsiasi scenario si trovi catapultato. Viene abbandonato dai suoi amici in un bar? Allora lo vedremo godersi un drink e fare amicizia con degli sconosciuti. È la curiosità che spinge Dev, e così si spinge anche lo show. E poi l’insieme delle personalità, le amicizie intorno a Dev, ognuna con una caratteristica che le rende funzionali ed importanti per lo spettacolo quanto il protagonista stesso. Ogni episodio, inoltre, affronta un argomento diverso della quotidianità, il punto fondamentale della serie.

La serie è ambientata nella piccola città di Absaroka County, nel Wyoming, ed è incentrata sulla vita dello sceriffo solitario Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor), uomo integerrimo che si trova a competere il giovane agente Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) per la rielezione.
Walt deve inoltre convivere con un grande dolore: la moglie infatti è stata assassinata da una mano ignota un anno or sono
Insieme alla vicesceriffo, Victoria "Vic" Moretti (Katee Sackhoff), all’amico indiano Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) e alla figlia Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) , Walt dovrà far fronte alle proprie sfide senza farsi sopraffare.

Una delle novità della quinta stagione, toglierà subito il dubbio a tutti i fan: Walt è vivo. Il personaggio di Robert Taylor è infatti riuscito a sopravvivere all'attentato di un uomo armato che ha cercato di uccidere sia lui che Donna, ovvero l'attrice Ally Walker. Nella premiere ritroveremo Walt in ospedale, dove è stato ricoverato a lungo tempo.

Nel gruppo G77 del controspionaggio americano c'è una spia pagata dai nazisti. Invece di smascherarlo, il capo del gruppo, Bob Sharkey (Cagney), decide di servirsene per fornire informazioni false al nemico. Per un po' la cosa funziona, ma poi, durante una missione della Cia in Olanda organizzata per rapire l'ingegnere Duclois, la situazione precipita.

In un negozio di animali a San Francisco si incontrano l'avvocato Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor) e la ricca e giovane Melanie (Tippi Hedren), figlia dell'editore di uno fra i maggiori giornali della città. Indispettita e insieme attratta dall'atteggiamento dell'uomo, Melanie decide di fargli una sorpresa e di recarsi a Bodega Bay - dove Mitch trascorre i fine settimana in compagnia della madre e della sorellina Cathy- col pretesto di donare alla bimba, per il suo compleanno, una coppia di pappagalli "inseparabili".Da poco arrivata sul posto, Melanie viene attaccata da un gabbiano che le ferisce il volto. Melanie viene ospitata da Annie, maestra di scuola di Cathy e vecchia fiamma di Mitch. Durante la notte un gabbiano, inspiegabilmente, sbatte sulla porta di casa. La sera di Natale, Andrea, macchinista delle ferrovie, dopo il lavoro fa una lunga sosta all'osteria, dove beve abbondantemente. Rientra tardi e trova i familiari irritati per il suo contegno. Più di tutti è addolorata la figlia Giulia, che è prossima al parto. Ella incomincia a sentirsi male e dà alla luce un bambino nato morto. Il triste evento impressiona vivamente Andrea: egli ha spinto alle nozze la figlia che sentiva di non amare più l'uomo che l'aveva resa madre. L'investimento accidentale di un suicida e la mancata osservazione di un segnale di blocco provocano un'inchiesta a carico del ferroviere ed aggravano la sua crisi psichica. Intanto la famiglia si disgrega: un violento diverbio tra padre e figlia, provocato da una illecita relazione di Giulia, coinvolge anche il secondo figlio, già adulto e dedito a losche imprese. I due rompono ogni relazione col padre; soltanto la moglie e il piccolo Sandro gli conservano il loro affetto. Per aver lavorato durante uno sciopero Andrea si trova in contrasto con i compagni di lavoro e il suo isolamento aumenta per cui cerca conforto nel vino e nella compagnia di donne equivoche. Il piccolo Sandro è l'unico che non ha mai perduto la sua fiducia nel padre: forte del suo puro ed innocente affetto, riuscirà a sottrarre Andrea dal suo pessimistico abbattimento. Andrea si ammala gravemente: dopo tre mesi di letto, la sera di Natale egli vede ricostituirsi intorno l'amicizia dei suoi compagni di lavoro. Anche i due figli, che hanno risolto positivamente i loro problemi, tornano a lui. Egli riprende la sua chitarra e dedica alla moglie una dolce serenata ma la morte improvvisa e serena viene a chiudere le sua travagliata esistenza.

The Expanse è una serie televisiva statunitense di fantascienza trasmessa dalla rete via cavo Syfy dal 14 dicembre 2015.

Si tratta di un adattamento dell'omonima serie letteraria, una space opera scritta da Daniel Abraham e Ty Franck sotto lo pseudonimo di James S. A. Corey.

Nel XXIII secolo, il sistema solare è stato colonizzato dagli umani e si trova una situazione di precario equilibrio geopolitico a causa delle tensioni fra la Terra e le ex-colonie marziane, oramai indipendenti sotto il vessillo della Repubblica congressionale marziana, e il degrado sociale in cui sopravvive gran parte della popolazione degli avamposti nella fascia principale degli asteroidi e i pianeti esterni.
In questo difficile contesto, si intrecciano le vicende del detective di polizia Josephus Miller, di stanza su Cerere, a cui viene affidata l'indagine sulla scomparsa di una donna terrestre, Julie Andromeda Mao, e il secondo ufficiale del cargo portaghiaccio Canterbury, James Holden, inavvertitamente coinvolto in un incidente che rischia di destabilizzare irreversibilmente le relazioni tra Marte e la Terra e innescare un conflitto interplanetario...

"Si può usare violenza alla storia, a patto di farle fare dei bei bambini", diceva Dumas padre e lo ha ampiamente dimostrato lasciandoci alcuni classici dell'avventura indimenticabili. La storia tuttavia, benché sedotta, nei suoi libri non viene mai crudelmente abbandonata.
Maestro del feuilletton, cioè dell'intrigo, del suspense e del colpo di scena, il Nostro si limita a insaporirla arricchendola di episodi ad effetto e di pittoreschi personaggi immaginari e interpretandone i protagonisti veri come un caricaturista psicologo.
Dotato di una verve inesauribile e di una fantasia scatenata il Nostro supera di gran lunga gli altri scrittori popolari per tre doti molto rare in questo campo: l'ironia, l'umorismo e una scanzonata ma intensa umanità.
Per questo molte sue creature, come i tre moschettieri, dopo un secolo affascinano ancora. Per non parlare di Caterina dei Medici che, protagonista o con semplici partecipazioni speciali, illumina della sua luce inquietante e corrusca una decina di romanzi.
Sfaccettata e dura come un diamante questa strepitosa dark lady cinquecentesca non ha ancora smesso di far parlare di sé, con orrore, con ammirazione, sovente con perplessità, ma sempre curiosamente con rispetto. Concreta per natura era agli antipodi di ogni passione, tuttavia la sua esistenza è stata un lungo, travolgente romanzo d'amore con il potere e la sua disinvoltura nella scelta dei mezzi per conservarlo avrebbe fatto trasalire Machiavelli.
Gloriosamente priva di scrupoli e determinata come un capitano di ventura, all'occorrenza sapeva sfoderare una consumata femminilità; e la sottigliezza con cui giustificava anzitutto a se stessa le sue decisioni più opinabili supera quella delle più famose cortigiane.
Grande regina e grande personaggio, Caterina è il fulcro della commedia che ne segue le vicende allegramente in chiave di paradosso, con qualche manciata di humour nero qua e là. Basterebbe lei sola a fare spettacolo, ma le fa corona una variegata rosa di comprimari, i figli: Francesco II, fragile e gentile, Carlo IX, un poeta con problemi morali, Enrico III, un irriverente bon vivant e il duca di Angiò un infido voglio-e-non-posso. Non mancano i suoi nemici storici, i potenti duchi di Guisa e la sua eterna bestia nera, Enrico di Navarra, ugonotto strafottente e anticonformista che sopravvive imperterrito a tutti i suoi tentativi di sopprimerlo. E poi ancora, una giovanissima e pepata Maria Stuarda, una astrologo reboante e servile, un ex conversa pericolosamente candida e un maestro di veleni garrulo come un piazzista di aspirapolvere. Al centro di questa gaia farandola Caterina fa, briga, disfa e dice il suo pensiero, dimostrandosi, cosa che stupirà alquanto gli storici, una signora molto, molto divertente.
