Mostri contro alieni, film d'animazione diretto da Rob Letterman, che racconta la storia di Susan Murphy, la ragazza più felice del mondo: sta infatti per sposarsi con l'amore della sua vita, il conduttore televisivo del meteo Derek Dietl. Proprio all'inizio della cerimonia, un enorme meteorite colpisce la Terra nel punto esatto in cui si trova la Chiesa e Susan viene contaminata da una sostanza radioattiva, che la rende una donna mastodontica e alta 15 metri. Interviene immediatamente il Governo degli Stati Uniti, che la cattura e la rinchiude in una base segreta di massima sicurezza. Qui Susan, rinominata Ginormica, incontra altre creature mostruose imprigionate da anni: il Professor Scarafaggio (uno scienziato pazzo trasformatosi in un insetto umanoide durante un esperimento), l'invincibile e gelatinoso B.O.B., una strana creatura metà scimmia e metà pesce chiamata Anello Mancante e una larva gigante di 120 metri dal nome di Insectosaurus.
Quando la Terra viene minacciata dall'attacco dell'alieno Gallaxhar, che intende colonizzarla, il Generale Monger suggerisce al Governo di costituire una squadra con i mostri detenuti per difendere il pianeta dal gigantesco robot extraterrestre, che sta seminando il panico nel Paese.

Trama:
Lovecraft Country è una serie horror soprannaturale creata da Misha Green (Underground) basandosi sul romanzo omonimo di Matt Ruff, prodotta per HBO da J.J. Abrams e Jordan Peele. La storia si concentra su Atticus Freeman (interpretato dall'attore di When We Rise Jonathan Majors), un uomo di colore che nell'America degli anni '50, un'epoca in cui in molti stati del Sud erano in vigore quelle dure leggi di Jim Crow che contribuirono a sistematizzare la segregazione razziale, decide di mettersi sulle tracce del padre scomparso. Insieme all'amica Letitia (Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Underground) e allo zio George (Courtney B. Vance, American Crime Story), Atticus intraprende un viaggio pericoloso verso Lovercraft Country, un luogo profondamente ingiusto, trovandosi a lottare per la propria sopravvivenza non solo contro i terrori razzisti dell'America bianca ma anche contro mostri raccapriccianti che sembrano usciti dalle storie fantastiche di H.P. Gretel e Hansel, film diretto da Oz Perkins, è un horror ispirato alla famosa fiaba dei fratelli Grimm e ambientato nella Germania medievale devastata dalla miseria e dalla carestia. Un giorno la giovane Gretel (Sophia Lillis) e il fratellino Hansel (Sam Leaky) vengono cacciati di casa dalla madre, che non può più provvedere a loro a causa della povertà dilagante. La ragazza decide di addentrarsi nell'oscuro bosco insieme al fratello alla disperata ricerca di cibo, riparo e lavoro, ma non sa che la foresta è piena di insidie e pericoli mortali. Fortunatamente accorre in loro aiuto un cacciatore (Charles Babalola), che li aiuterà a superare i primi ostacoli che la folta boscaglia presenterà ai due fratelli. Ma mentre sono alla ricerca di cibo nel bosco, incappano in una casa che emana profumo di dolci appena sfornati. Qui abita un'anziana donna, Holda (Alice Krige), che offre ai due pasti, un posto per dormire in cambio di aiuto nei lavori di casa.
Speranzosi di aver finalmente trovato rifugio grazie alla bontà della gentile vecchina, Hansel e Gretel decidono di restare insieme alla generosa donna. Mentre il bambino è libero di uscire di casa e si gode il suo tempo là dove può mangiare senza limiti, Gretel inizia a essere insospettita dal comportamento di Holda. La ragazza inizia ad avere anche alcune visioni e a udire voci di bambini che la mettono in guardia, ma si sveglia sempre prima di riuscire a capire cosa stia accadendo. I suoi sospetti e i suoi timori, però, si riveleranno fondati, quando scoprirà che dietro la gentile anziana si nasconde, in verità, il seme del male.
