PRIGIONIERO DEL PARADISO - THERESIENSTADT



NOTIZIE

Era un esperimento senza precedenti, la città ideale in cui vivere e creare, un posto in cui si tenevano concerti, conferenze, spettacoli e dove artisti provenienti da tutta Europa si recavano per vivere. L’unica cosa strana è che si trattasse unicamente di ebrei. In effetti l’immagine idilliaca di questa comunità era frutto unicamente della propaganda nazista e Theresienstadt, situata nei pressi di Praga, non era altro che un campo di concentramento. Tuttavia per convincere la comunità internazionale, sempre più sospettosa, che gli artisti trasferiti lì erano trattati con ogni riguardo, si decise di realizzare un film – beffardamente intitolato “Il Fuhrer dona una città agli ebrei” – chiedendo proprio a un famoso regista ebreo ivi residente, Kurt Gerron, di dirigerlo. La drammatica e controversa vicenda è narrata nel film documentario “Prigioniero del Paradiso”, premiato nel 2003 con una nomination all’Oscar e adesso in onda sul canale satellitare “History Channel”. Eroe decorato della prima guerra mondiale, Kurt Gerron – il cui desiderio era quello di fare il dottore – approda casualmente al teatro e dopo aver ottenuto un certo successo anche al cinema. Grazie al grande schermo la sua popolarità non conosce sosta tanto che nel 1927 l’attore di origine ebree partecipa a quasi trenta pellicole. Nel 1930 il suo ruolo a fianco di Marlene Dietrich ne “L’Angelo Azzurro” lo proietta nell’Olimpo delle stelle e Gerron decide così di passare dietro alla macchina da presa. Tre anni più tardi, nel corso delle riprese di un film, il produttore si presenta sul set dicendo: “Mi spiace, ma tutti quelli che non sono di razza ariana devono abbandonare immediatamente la lavorazione”. Dopo aver peregrinato fra Stati Uniti e Francia, il regista tedesco viene catturato in Olanda e deportato a Theresienstadt. Visto che la sparizione di eminenti artisti, musicisti, personalità religiose e intellettuali, avrebbe sicuramente attirato l’attenzione i nazisti decidono di creare questo “campo di rappresentanza”, in realtà una sorta di anticamera verso Auschwitz. Visitato anche dalla Croce Rossa, di fronte alla quale venne allestita una studiata messinscena, il campo arrivò a contenere fino a cinquantamila deportati. A Kurt Gerron fu chiesto di girare un documentario di propaganda, con l’implicita promessa che non sarebbe stato ucciso. Gerron accettò, realizzando “Il Fuhrer dona una città agli ebrei” e attirandosi ovviamente l’odio di tutti gli abitanti della comunità. Curiosamente il film, terminato alla fine del ’44, non venne mai usato mentre Gerron venne poi trasferito ad Auschwitz dove fu ucciso proprio il giorno prima che Himmler decretasse la chiusura definitiva delle camere a gas. Il suo doloroso compromesso insomma, non riuscì comunque a salvargli la vita.

NCIS - Unit?  anticrimine (NCIS) è una serie televisiva statunitense di genere poliziesco creata da Donald P. Bellisario e trasmessa dal 23 settembre 2003 dal network CBS.
Nata come spin-off di JAG - Avvocati in divisa, la serie ha come protagonista la principale squadra di agenti speciali del Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), un dipartimento della Marina Militare degli Stati Uniti che si occupa di ogni caso criminale od investigativo che coinvolga membri del corpo militare stesso. Nel 2009 la serie ha a sua volta generato un suo spin-off, NCIS: Los Angeles.
A partire dalla stagione televisiva 2009-2010, NCIS si è affermata come la serie televisiva più vista negli Stati Uniti. Secondo un sondaggio condotto nel 2011 dalla Harris Interactive, NCIS è lo "show televisivo preferito di tutti i tempi" dal pubblico statunitense.
In Italia la serie è trasmessa dal 10 gennaio 2005 da Rai 2.


TRAMA
La serie segue le vicende della principale squadra di agenti speciali dell'agenzia federale Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), denominata «Major Case Response Team» (MCRT), con sede al Washington Navy Yard di Washington. L'NCIS si occupa dei reati più gravi che vedono coinvolti membri o persone legate alla marina degli Stati Uniti o al corpo dei Marines. Il Major Case Response Team, in particolare, si occupa dei casi più difficili e delicati, quali ad esempio l'omicidio di uomini vicini al Presidente, morti di celebrit?  all'interno di basi della marina, minacce terroristiche e rapimenti.
Il MCRT è guidata dall'agente speciale supervisore Leroy Jethro Gibbs ed è composta dall'agente speciale Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo, dall'agente speciale Timothy McGee e dall'agente speciale Ziva David, inizialmente aggregata alla squadra come agente di collegamento con il Mossad, che ha sostituito a partire dalla terza stagione l'agente Caitlin "Kate" Todd, rimasta uccisa in servizio al termine della seconda stagione. Nelle sue indagini, la squadra è assistita dal medico legale Donald "Ducky" Mallard, dal suo assistente Jimmy Palmer, che ha rimpiazzato Gerald Jackson durante la prima stagione, e dall'analista forense Abigail "Abby" Sciuto.
Al vertice dell'agenzia federale, vi è il direttore Leon Vance, che ha sostituito dalla quinta stagione il direttore Jennifer Shepard, rimasta uccisa in missione. Fino alla terza stagione l'agenzia era guidata da Tom Morrow.

Trama

Per intervenire a difesa del pianeta Terra e dei suoi abitanti, il vanaglorioso principe di Asgard Thor (Chris Hemsworth) ha messo da parte i nobili natali, la discendenza aliena e i conflitti familiari con Loki (Tom Hiddleston), atterrando puntualmente con un tonfo al fianco dei colleghi Avengers tutte le volte che ce n'è stato bisogno. Dopo averlo visto sfidare i componenti più forti della squadra a sollevare il leggendario Mjöllnir, e gongolare nella consapevolezza di essere il solo degno di brandirlo, un potente nemico in gonnella si fa avanti per raccogliere la sfida e disintegra il martello sotto gli increduli occhi del proprietario. La perfida Hela (Cate Blanchett), tornata in libertà dopo millenni di prigionia, minaccia di scatenare la sua ira sul regno di Odino (Anthony Hopkins), e l'unico guerriero in grado di fermarla e scongiurare il Ragnarok è disarmato e imprigionato dall'altra parte dell'universo. Indebolito dallo scontro con Hela, Thor è finito nelle mani del Gran Maestro (Jeff Goldblum), un avido burattinaio il cui passatempo preferito è far duellare forme di vita inferiori dentro un'arena intergalattica. Ma l'avversario che la sorte riserva al dio del tuono è una vecchia conoscenza, lo scienziato Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), nella versione più grossa e arrabbiata. Dopo qualche scaramuccia ai fini dello spettacolo, il "collega di lavoro" Hulk si rivelerà un alleato prezioso per salvare dalla distruzione l'intera civiltà asgardiana.

A look at life in New York City during the 1970s and '80s when porn and prostitution were rampant in Manhattan.

The Deuce è una serie scritta e creata da David Simon e George Pelacanos, coppia già acclamata per lo strepitoso The Wire, costantemente in classifica tra le migliori serie TV di tutti i tempi. Nell’arco dei suoi otto episodi, questo nuovo show della HBO tenta di dare un ritratto della Grande Mela negli anni della legalizzazione del porno come industria, seguendo le vicende di tre personaggi completamente investiti dal cambiamento epocale che ne muta per sempre le vite. Sono anni in cui l’HIV comincia a prendere sempre più piede, e lo spaccio di cocaina dà vita a un contesto criminale e violento. A interpretare due dei tre protagonisti è James Franco, il primo asso nella manica calato da HBO per alzare l’asticella qualitativa dello show (qui anche nelle vesti di produttore esecutivo).

Franco ricopre il ruolo di due fratelli gemelli, Vincent e Frankie Martino, legati entrambi al mondo della mafia italo-americana e fortemente inseriti nel sottobosco di miseria e sopravvivenza che avvinghia i quartieri centrali di New York. Nella stessa zona opera Candy, alias la prostituta Eileen Merell, che ha il volto di Maggie Gyllenhaal, impressionante già dal pilot per la sua interpretazione di una donna segnata dalla vita, il cui cinismo fa il paio con l’amore per la famiglia e la necessità di mantenerla economicamente. Attorno a loro un microcosmo fumoso di violenza e crimine che satura le vie e soffoca i protagonisti, pronto a scoppiare da un momento all’altro, non appena la miccia avrà terminato il suo percorso.

A look at life in New York City during the 1970s and '80s when porn and prostitution were rampant in Manhattan.

The Deuce è una serie scritta e creata da David Simon e George Pelacanos, coppia già acclamata per lo strepitoso The Wire, costantemente in classifica tra le migliori serie TV di tutti i tempi. Nell’arco dei suoi otto episodi, questo nuovo show della HBO tenta di dare un ritratto della Grande Mela negli anni della legalizzazione del porno come industria, seguendo le vicende di tre personaggi completamente investiti dal cambiamento epocale che ne muta per sempre le vite. Sono anni in cui l’HIV comincia a prendere sempre più piede, e lo spaccio di cocaina dà vita a un contesto criminale e violento. A interpretare due dei tre protagonisti è James Franco, il primo asso nella manica calato da HBO per alzare l’asticella qualitativa dello show (qui anche nelle vesti di produttore esecutivo).

Franco ricopre il ruolo di due fratelli gemelli, Vincent e Frankie Martino, legati entrambi al mondo della mafia italo-americana e fortemente inseriti nel sottobosco di miseria e sopravvivenza che avvinghia i quartieri centrali di New York. Nella stessa zona opera Candy, alias la prostituta Eileen Merell, che ha il volto di Maggie Gyllenhaal, impressionante già dal pilot per la sua interpretazione di una donna segnata dalla vita, il cui cinismo fa il paio con l’amore per la famiglia e la necessità di mantenerla economicamente. Attorno a loro un microcosmo fumoso di violenza e crimine che satura le vie e soffoca i protagonisti, pronto a scoppiare da un momento all’altro, non appena la miccia avrà terminato il suo percorso.
