Animation, realizzato dagli studi giapponesi Madhouse, Studio 4°C, Production I.G e Bee Train, e distribuito direct-to-video da Warner Home Video, il film è ambientato in un periodo di tempo che intercorre tra i due film di Christopher Nolan Batman Begins (2005) e Il cavaliere oscuro (200, anche se diversi elementi degli episodi non sono legati al canone della trilogia cinematografica realizzata da Nolan.
Negli episodi compaiono i quattro supercriminali: Deadshot, Spaventapasseri, Killer Croc e l'Uomo in Nero.
L'uscita è stata prevista esclusivamente in edizione home video, l'8 luglio 2008 negli Stati Uniti e il 22 luglio 2008 in Italia, distribuita da Warner Home Video.

Richard Poole è un ispettore del Metropolitan Police Service di Londra, serio, professionale e ligio alle regole. Con suo grande disappunto, scopre un giorno di essere stato trasferito in servizio a Saint Marie, uno sperduto atollo caraibico – ex colonia francese, ora dipendenza britannica d'oltremare. Richard è il classico uomo d'oltre Manica che si è sempre trovato a suo agio nel freddo e nel grigiore della capitale inglese, e ora non sopporta il clima e la natura selvaggia dell'isola; deluso e frustrato, il detective londinese è costretto suo malgrado ad adattarsi a questa nuova situazione, che lo vede alle prese con un'isola a lui ostile, con una perenne nostalgia di casa, e con una nuova squadra che adotta metodi d'indagine molto lontani dal rigore e dalla disciplina britannica. Ad affiancarlo nella gestione della piccola stazione di polizia di Honoré ci sono Camille Bordey, sergente d'origine francese con cui Poole trova sempre modo di battibeccare su tutto, l'agente Dwayne Myers, decano della polizia dell'isola, e la giovane recluta Fidel Best, a tratti ancora inesperto.

Dopo l'improvvisa morte di Poole, il suo incarico sull'isola viene assegnato a un nuovo ispettore, Humphrey Goodman, il quale mostra caratteristiche piuttosto diverse da quelle del suo predecessore; se da una parte è vittima di una serie di difetti e manie, come la goffaggine e la balbuzie, che lo ostacolano non poco nello svolgimento della sua professione, dall'altra è ben felice di approdare in servizio a Saint Marie, abbracciando immediatamente il clima e le tradizioni caraibiche dell'isola. L'incontro sull'isola con Martha, sua ex fidanzata con la quale intraprende una nuova relazione, porta quindi Goodman a decidere di abbandonare a sua volta l'incarico affidandolo al suo collega Jack Mooney, arrivato a Saint Marie insieme alla figlia Siobhan.

The Expanse è una serie televisiva statunitense di fantascienza trasmessa dalla rete via cavo Syfy dal 14 dicembre 2015.

Si tratta di un adattamento dell'omonima serie letteraria, una space opera scritta da Daniel Abraham e Ty Franck sotto lo pseudonimo di James S. A. Corey.

Nel XXIII secolo, il sistema solare è stato colonizzato dagli umani e si trova una situazione di precario equilibrio geopolitico a causa delle tensioni fra la Terra e le ex-colonie marziane, oramai indipendenti sotto il vessillo della Repubblica congressionale marziana, e il degrado sociale in cui sopravvive gran parte della popolazione degli avamposti nella fascia principale degli asteroidi e i pianeti esterni.
In questo difficile contesto, si intrecciano le vicende del detective di polizia Josephus Miller, di stanza su Cerere, a cui viene affidata l'indagine sulla scomparsa di una donna terrestre, Julie Andromeda Mao, e il secondo ufficiale del cargo portaghiaccio Canterbury, James Holden, inavvertitamente coinvolto in un incidente che rischia di destabilizzare irreversibilmente le relazioni tra Marte e la Terra e innescare un conflitto interplanetario...

Ennio Morricone's recent concert tour came briefly to New York early in 2007. The DVD-CD set Ennio Morricone Peace Notes Live in Venice records two later performances at the Piazza San Marco in Venice on September 9 and 10, 2007. Fans of the prolific film composer will need to read no further before seeking out this DVD as it's a quality presentation on all counts. Personally, I can imagine I'll be looking less frequently at my fuzzy PAL to NTSC VHS conversion of a concert taped for Italian television.

The DVD is a multi-camera recored of the concert in the dramatic open-air setting of the plaza. Director Giovanni Morricone for the most part stays focused on the musicians, although I wouldn't call his visual choices optimal. Several of his cameras appear to be on robotic cranes that see a great deal of over-use, swooping so close to the musicians that we're surprised their music stands are not knocked over. Attractive shots of Venice interrupt many of the pieces, in a not unattractive way. The only real stumblings are the poetic musings that appear, in English text, over these extra scenes. Not only are the words not particularly related to the tunes being played, they contain many misspellings. I found myself ignoring them.

Soundtrack fans will like the musical selection. The Sergio Leone set is clearly there to pull in that segment of Morricone's faithful, although he's repeatedly expressed his desire to leave a much wider legacy than the six or seven Leone films out of the four hundred or more he's scored. The presence of a full symphony orchestra and choir naturally favors 'big' compositions over Morricone's simpler film themes that often featured solo instruments. In keeping with the Peace motif, the 'chapter' titles suggest a movement to socially responsible and devout themes. Morricone ends with the rousing socialist melody from Sacco and Vanzetti. When the choir begins the chant, "Here's to you, Nicola and Bart", the audience applauds.

...Tra le Note carries interviews with Morricone about conducting in St. Mark's Square and with the director of the Casino that sponsored the concert. Morricone talks about his 'other' interest in what he refers to (in translation) as "absolute music." The casino director reminds us that his association with Morricone for the concert began before Il Maestro was awarded a special Oscar.

Making the disc an even more attractive deal is the inclusion of two additional CDs that contain the contents of the Venice concert with several other tracks: Voci Dal Silenzio, The Untouchables and The Legend of 1900. The discs are contained in a plastic and card folder in a card sleeve. No program notes are included.

Dom e Letty si recano per la luna di miele a Cuba, dove Toretto sfida ad una corsa lo street racer locale, guadagnandosi il suo rispetto per aver vinto e avergli permesso di tenersi la macchina. Mentre passeggia per la città viene avvicinato da una donna, Cipher, che gli rivela di averlo spiato per tutto il suo viaggio e gli propone di lavorare con lei. Inizialmente lui rifiuta ma Cipher gli mostra una foto (si scoprirà che ha preso in ostaggio l'ex fidanzata di Dom, Elena Neves, e il suo bambino, frutto della loro relazione) e, ricattandolo, ottiene la sua collaborazione.
