Messosi a giocare nella zona di Don Gaetano detto "Core 'e fierro", si scontra inizialmente con lo stesso, ne diviene però amico ed è presentato, nonché garantito a Don Antonio, detto "Prence" che lo dichiara "picciotto onorato". In tal modo Nicola può concedersi dignità da guappo e, dietro mediazione di Don Gaetano, studiare sino a divenire dottore in giurisprudenza il 14 settembre 1891. L'ex camorrista Aiossa, riabilitato frettolosamente dal Governo e nominato delegato di polizia, fa violenza a donna Lucia, amante di Don Gaetano, riuscendo anche a incriminare lo stesso per l'omicidio di Vincenzo Pazzariello. Difeso da Nicola, Gaetano ottiene la libertà e anche l'ordine di uccidere l'amico. Si ribella e viene massacrato. Nicola, detto Coppola Rossa, per ordine della camorra, viene pugnalato a morte dal giovanissimo Pasquale proprio nell'aula dove lo sta difendendo con vigore.

Roman Melnyk, a construction worker, is allowed to leave work early, to prepare for the arrival of his wife Olena and pregnant

daughter Nadiya from New York City, aboard flight AX 112. At the airport to welcome his family, Roman receives the news that AX

112, with his wife and daughter on board, had been in an accident. From this point on, Roman is devastated and blames the air

traffic controller for the deaths of his family.

Meanwhile, in another angle of the story, Jacob "Jake" Bonanos, an air traffic controller, is happily married to a woman named

Christina with whom he has a young son named Samuel. Jake is on duty the night of the crash, which occurs when his colleague

is on coffee break, forcing Jake to do both their jobs, and the telephone lines (needed to communicate with other airports) are

briefly non-working while under maintenance. He is devastated, after seeing AX 112 and the other flight, DH 616, disappear from

the radar, showing that the two planes collided and were destroyed. Although the investigators cannot hold Jake responsible for

the crash and the passengers' deaths, he blames himself; as time passes, he slowly unravels, straining the relationship with his

family, and is unwilling to talk about what happened.

TRAMA

Joe, sensibile sedicenne, è l'unico figlio di Jeanette e Jerry, una casalinga e un giocatore professionista di golf che vivono in una cittadina del Montana negli anni Sessanta. Quando perde il suo lavoro, Jerry decide di unirsi agli uomini che stanno cercando di spegnere un violento incendio scoppiato nei boschi vicino al confine canadese, lasciando da soli moglie e figlio. Trama

Il Sig. Jones trascura la fattoria che possiede preferendo ubriacarsi nel circolo "Leone Rosso". Una notte è riunita un'assemblea degli animali della fattoria, dal Vecchio Maggiore, maiale molto anziano e rispettato. Egli fa capire ai suoi "compagni" la situazione in cui si vive e li esorta alla rivoluzione contro l'uomo. Dopo alcuni istanti dalla fine del discorso muore. Dopo un po' di tempo, un giorno, gli animali non trovano la loro razione quotidiana. Così decidono di attaccare il sig. Jones, e sotto il comando dello strategico maiale Palla di Neve, conquistano la fattoria.
Gli animali, dopo aver esplorato la casa dell'ex-padrone, riprendono le loro normali attività lavorative. Il sig. Jones però riunisce i suoi amici fattori e prova a riprendersi, invano, la fattoria. Gli animali riescono a resistere all'attacco. Palla di Neve, poco tempo dopo, riunisce gli animali per annunciare la creazione di un progetto. Un altro maiale, Napoleone, aizza dei cani trovati nella casa dell'ex-padrone contro Palla di Neve, che viene così sbranato dopo un lungo inseguimento. Napoleone fa però credere al tradimento dell'antico capo e prende possesso della situazione, appropriandosi del progetto iniziato dal suo predecessore (un mulino).
Inizia a prendere posizione in favore della classe dei maiali, i sette pilastri dell'animalismo vengono modificati secondo la convenienza del nuovo capo. Napoleone stringe trattative con un macellaio, barattando viveri con le uova delle galline, che dopo essersi ribellate, vengono sbranate dai cani, ormai guardie del corpo del capo Napoleone. Un nuovo attacco degli uomini viene sventato, ma il mulino da poco costruito viene fatto esplodere dal sig. Jones durante l'attacco. Ricomincia così la costruzione del mulino, ma durante essa il cavallo Gondrano, instancabile lavoratore, viene deabilitato a causa della caduta di una grossa pietra, poi viene barattato da Napoleone con il macellaio, in cambio di whisky. Poco dopo, gli altri animali, ormai di livello molto inferiore a quello dei maiali, scoprono che questi sono diventati antropomorfi e che hanno ormai preso il posto del vecchio padrone.

Le regole della rivoluzione sono state completamente violate. A questo punto l'asina Berta incita gli animali a rivoltarsi contro i maiali durante una riunione di questi ultimi nella casa del sig. Jones, ora loro sede. Gli animali così rovesciano il regime e Napoleone viene ucciso con gli altri maiali nell'attacco dopo una lapidaria citazione: "Padroni maiali, domani prosciutti".

La fattoria degli animali (Animal Farm) è un film d'animazione del 1954 diretto da John Halas e Joy Batchelor, basato sull'omonimo romanzo di George Orwell.

È il primo lungometraggio d'animazione britannico a distribuzione internazionale. Nel 1956 è stato nominato al premio BAFTA per il miglior film d'animazione.

Solo negli anni '80 venne pienamente alla luce il fatto che la CIA avesse contribuito in modo sostanzioso al finanziamento della produzione del film: furono versati 300.000 dollari come parte della offensiva culturale durante la guerra fredda, influenzando il modo in cui venivano presentate le idee di Orwel.

Trama

June è una bimba di 10 anni ricca di fantasia e immaginazione che trascorre le sue giornate con la mamma cercando di costruire il parco divertimenti dei suoi sogni. Tutto scorre tranquillo finché la madre non si ammala gravemente, da quel momento June perde ogni interesse e soprattutto la sua capacità di meravigliarsi. Un giorno, però, scopre un luogo magico: un meraviglioso parco giochi, lasciato abbandonato, ma ancora abitato dagli animali che lo popolavano ai tempi dei suoi fasti. Insieme a loro, June si propone di sistemarlo e sarà così che ritroverà la fiducia nel futuro.
