After two strong outings on Preiser, soprano Akiko Nakajima shifts her efforts to the Italian Dynamic label for an interesting and characteristic release, Plasir d'amour. Nakajima is accompanied at the piano by Niels Muus in a recital of European drawing room literature of the nineteenth century. In Europe, drawing room music was designed to be genteel, yet popular in appeal, in tune with the quality of entertainment once enjoyed by the nobility, yet couched in the more modest circumstances of free, or moderately free, industrial societies in which personal wealth and precious goods were no longer the exclusive domain of the nobles. Chopin's lieder, for example, were largely intended to fall into the category of such semi-casual music-making. The predominantly Italian songs chosen here by Nakajima and Muus are substantive and directly relate to Italian opera.
At the centerpiece of this project is an Italian song album issued in 1869 to help raise money for Francesco Maria Piave, a librettist living in poverty as the result of a serious medical condition. Only the item contributed to this publication by Giuseppe Verdi has been previously recorded, and collaborative song albums like this one, while relatively common in the nineteenth century, are almost never recorded as a unit. The Piave album is decidedly a worthwhile example, as the composers -- Auber, Cagnoni, Mercadante, Federico Ricci, Ambroise Thomas, and Verdi -- did not contrive second-rate work for this undertaking, but instead contributed efforts worthy of their best. The program is filled out by songs of Mercadante, Paolo Tosti -- including a breathy and impassioned "Goodbye!" sung in its original English -- and a selection of eighteenth century songs that wound their way into the drawing room as "old favorites." These songs were adapted into voice and piano versions long after their initial appearances as continuo arias in operas and oratorio.
As in her previous albums, Nakajima's singing is both generous and glorious; she takes the time to characterize -- not just sing -- the material, but she never utilizes that as an excuse to sideline the pitch for short stretches to make the going easier. Muus' accompaniment is sensitive, supportive, and keyed into the style of the period, still audible on early recordings, for example, Umberto Giordano's accompaniment for Enrico Caruso's 1902 recording of the aria "Amor ti vieta" from Fedora. The notes seem to indicate that these kinds of primary sources were consulted in preparation for the project; certainly, the level of research involved here is very high. However, it is not a sense of "research" that one will extrapolate from Plasir d'amour; it is all about the warmth, sensuality, and personality of Nakajima's voice. Dynamic's recording is very good; it could stand to be a little closer to both voice and piano, but it is not so distant that it ruins the sense of intimacy the artists are seeking to establish, an intractable element of the drawing room music experience. Plasir -- "pleasure" -- they got that part right.

NCIS - Unit?  anticrimine (NCIS) è una serie televisiva statunitense di genere poliziesco creata da Donald P. Bellisario e trasmessa dal 23 settembre 2003 dal network CBS.
Nata come spin-off di JAG - Avvocati in divisa, la serie ha come protagonista la principale squadra di agenti speciali del Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), un dipartimento della Marina Militare degli Stati Uniti che si occupa di ogni caso criminale od investigativo che coinvolga membri del corpo militare stesso. Nel 2009 la serie ha a sua volta generato un suo spin-off, NCIS: Los Angeles.
A partire dalla stagione televisiva 2009-2010, NCIS si è affermata come la serie televisiva più vista negli Stati Uniti. Secondo un sondaggio condotto nel 2011 dalla Harris Interactive, NCIS è lo "show televisivo preferito di tutti i tempi" dal pubblico statunitense.
In Italia la serie è trasmessa dal 10 gennaio 2005 da Rai 2.


TRAMA
La serie segue le vicende della principale squadra di agenti speciali dell'agenzia federale Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), denominata «Major Case Response Team» (MCRT), con sede al Washington Navy Yard di Washington. L'NCIS si occupa dei reati più gravi che vedono coinvolti membri o persone legate alla marina degli Stati Uniti o al corpo dei Marines. Il Major Case Response Team, in particolare, si occupa dei casi più difficili e delicati, quali ad esempio l'omicidio di uomini vicini al Presidente, morti di celebrit?  all'interno di basi della marina, minacce terroristiche e rapimenti.
Il MCRT è guidata dall'agente speciale supervisore Leroy Jethro Gibbs ed è composta dall'agente speciale Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo, dall'agente speciale Timothy McGee e dall'agente speciale Ziva David, inizialmente aggregata alla squadra come agente di collegamento con il Mossad, che ha sostituito a partire dalla terza stagione l'agente Caitlin "Kate" Todd, rimasta uccisa in servizio al termine della seconda stagione. Nelle sue indagini, la squadra è assistita dal medico legale Donald "Ducky" Mallard, dal suo assistente Jimmy Palmer, che ha rimpiazzato Gerald Jackson durante la prima stagione, e dall'analista forense Abigail "Abby" Sciuto.
Al vertice dell'agenzia federale, vi è il direttore Leon Vance, che ha sostituito dalla quinta stagione il direttore Jennifer Shepard, rimasta uccisa in missione. Fino alla terza stagione l'agenzia era guidata da Tom Morrow.

NCIS - Unit?  anticrimine (NCIS) è una serie televisiva statunitense di genere poliziesco creata da Donald P. Bellisario e trasmessa dal 23 settembre 2003 dal network CBS.
Nata come spin-off di JAG - Avvocati in divisa, la serie ha come protagonista la principale squadra di agenti speciali del Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), un dipartimento della Marina Militare degli Stati Uniti che si occupa di ogni caso criminale od investigativo che coinvolga membri del corpo militare stesso. Nel 2009 la serie ha a sua volta generato un suo spin-off, NCIS: Los Angeles.
A partire dalla stagione televisiva 2009-2010, NCIS si è affermata come la serie televisiva più vista negli Stati Uniti. Secondo un sondaggio condotto nel 2011 dalla Harris Interactive, NCIS è lo "show televisivo preferito di tutti i tempi" dal pubblico statunitense.
In Italia la serie è trasmessa dal 10 gennaio 2005 da Rai 2.


TRAMA
La serie segue le vicende della principale squadra di agenti speciali dell'agenzia federale Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), denominata «Major Case Response Team» (MCRT), con sede al Washington Navy Yard di Washington. L'NCIS si occupa dei reati più gravi che vedono coinvolti membri o persone legate alla marina degli Stati Uniti o al corpo dei Marines. Il Major Case Response Team, in particolare, si occupa dei casi più difficili e delicati, quali ad esempio l'omicidio di uomini vicini al Presidente, morti di celebrit?  all'interno di basi della marina, minacce terroristiche e rapimenti.
Il MCRT è guidata dall'agente speciale supervisore Leroy Jethro Gibbs ed è composta dall'agente speciale Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo, dall'agente speciale Timothy McGee e dall'agente speciale Ziva David, inizialmente aggregata alla squadra come agente di collegamento con il Mossad, che ha sostituito a partire dalla terza stagione l'agente Caitlin "Kate" Todd, rimasta uccisa in servizio al termine della seconda stagione. Nelle sue indagini, la squadra è assistita dal medico legale Donald "Ducky" Mallard, dal suo assistente Jimmy Palmer, che ha rimpiazzato Gerald Jackson durante la prima stagione, e dall'analista forense Abigail "Abby" Sciuto.

TRAMA

TRAMA
Le Leggende riescono finalmente a eliminare tutti gli anacronismi nel tempo, e sembra quindi che la loro missione si sia conclusa ma, per sconfiggere Mallus nella stagione precedente, hanno permesso ad altre creature demoniache, di miti e fiabe, di fuggire per tutta la linea temporale. Sara Lance quindi deve riunire le Leggende e affrontare i "fuggiaschi" (nome dato alle creature scappate dall'Inferno) e riconfinarli per impedir loro di cambiare il corso degli eventi. Una di questi "fuggiaschi", Charlie, una mutaforma, si unirà alla ciurma della Waverider. Ad aiutare le Leggende questa volta interverrà John Constantine, detective dell'occulto che avrà bisogno del loro aiuto a causa di entità malefiche che stanno arrivando per lui.

TRAMA
La serie, ispirata alla vita del giocatore di football professionista Spencer Paysinger, racconta la storia di Spencer James (Daniel Ezra), ragazzo di un quartiere povero di Los Angeles con la passione per il football. Stella dello sport, viene reclutato da un liceo di Beverly Hills proprio grazie alla sua bravura. Nell scuola dovrà iniziare una nuova vita, del tutto differente da quella a cui è sempre stato abituato. TRAMA ATTACCO A MUMBAI:

Attacco a Mumbai, il film diretto da Anthony Maras, è ambientato nel novembre 2008, quando alcuni jihadisti del Pakistan mettono in atto una serie di attacchi terroristici a Mumbai, facendo precipitare nel caos la città più popolosa dell’India. Durante i tre giorni dell’assedio, gli uomini armati sequestrano il leggendario Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, tenendo prigionieri all’interno oltre 500 ospiti e dipendenti.
Il film si concentra sugli eventi accaduti nel leggendario hotel, considerato l’emblema del progresso del paese e del suo variegato patrimonio culturale. Nel pieno dell’attacco, persone provenienti da diversi paesi, culture, religioni e classi sociali dovranno trovare il modo di reagire e far fronte ai continui pericoli.
Tra i membri dello staff dell’hotel, il rinomato chef Hemant Oberoi (Anupam Kher) e un amabile cameriere sikh (Dev Patel), rischieranno la vita per proteggere i loro ospiti. E mentre i media di tutto il mondo stanno a guardare, una coppia disperata (Armie Hammer, Nazanin Boniadi) dovrà compiere sforzi inimmaginabili per difendere il loro bambino appena nato, mentre uno spietato milionario russo (Jason Isaacs) sembra interessato solo a salvarsi la pelle.
