NCIS - Unit? anticrimine (NCIS) è una serie televisiva statunitense di genere poliziesco creata da Donald P. Bellisario e trasmessa dal 23 settembre 2003 dal network CBS.
Nata come spin-off di JAG - Avvocati in divisa, la serie ha come protagonista la principale squadra di agenti speciali del Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), un dipartimento della Marina Militare degli Stati Uniti che si occupa di ogni caso criminale od investigativo che coinvolga membri del corpo militare stesso. Nel 2009 la serie ha a sua volta generato un suo spin-off, NCIS: Los Angeles.
A partire dalla stagione televisiva 2009-2010, NCIS si è affermata come la serie televisiva più vista negli Stati Uniti. Secondo un sondaggio condotto nel 2011 dalla Harris Interactive, NCIS è lo "show televisivo preferito di tutti i tempi" dal pubblico statunitense.
In Italia la serie è trasmessa dal 10 gennaio 2005 da Rai 2.

TRAMA
La serie segue le vicende della principale squadra di agenti speciali dell'agenzia federale Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), denominata «Major Case Response Team» (MCRT), con sede al Washington Navy Yard di Washington. L'NCIS si occupa dei reati più gravi che vedono coinvolti membri o persone legate alla marina degli Stati Uniti o al corpo dei Marines. Il Major Case Response Team, in particolare, si occupa dei casi più difficili e delicati, quali ad esempio l'omicidio di uomini vicini al Presidente, morti di celebrit? all'interno di basi della marina, minacce terroristiche e rapimenti.
Il MCRT è guidata dall'agente speciale supervisore Leroy Jethro Gibbs ed è composta dall'agente speciale Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo, dall'agente speciale Timothy McGee e dall'agente speciale Ziva David, inizialmente aggregata alla squadra come agente di collegamento con il Mossad, che ha sostituito a partire dalla terza stagione l'agente Caitlin "Kate" Todd, rimasta uccisa in servizio al termine della seconda stagione. Nelle sue indagini, la squadra è assistita dal medico legale Donald "Ducky" Mallard, dal suo assistente Jimmy Palmer, che ha rimpiazzato Gerald Jackson durante la prima stagione, e dall'analista forense Abigail "Abby" Sciuto.
Al vertice dell'agenzia federale, vi è il direttore Leon Vance, che ha sostituito dalla quinta stagione il direttore Jennifer Shepard, rimasta uccisa in missione. Fino alla terza stagione l'agenzia era guidata da Tom Morrow.

Cuore di vetro (Herz aus Glas) è un film del 1976 diretto da Werner Herzog.

Il film è ambientato nella Baviera del XVIII secolo; la maggior parte del cast ha recitato in stato di ipnosi. Il personaggio di Hias, protagonista del film, è ispirato al leggendario profeta bavarese Mühlhiasl.

Le vicende hanno luogo nel XVIII secolo, in un piccolo villaggio della Baviera la cui sussistenza è retta interamente dalla fabbrica di vetro del proprietario (Stefan Güttler), figlio di un vecchio nobile ormai paralitico. Nei dintorni del paese abita il veggente Hias (Josef Bierbichler), che in quei giorni ha visioni apocalittiche circa il destino del villaggio.

La vetreria deve la sua fortuna alla produzione di un particolare vetro di colore rosso, detto rubino, ma l'unico operaio che custodisce il segreto della sua fabbricazione muore, portandoselo nella tomba.

L'economia del villaggio entra in crisi, e il giovane signore, ossessionato dalla necessità di ritrovare la preziosa formula, dà segni di squilibrio sempre più evidenti, giungendo a sacrificare la sua domestica Ludmilla (Sonja Skiba), a gettare nel vicino ruscello gli ultimi pezzi in vetro rubino rimasti e a incendiare la stessa preziosissima vetreria.

Gli abitanti del villaggio accusano Hias per la sua preveggenza portatrice di sventura e lo rinchiudono in prigione insieme al nobile impazzito.

Senza offrire dettagli sul prosieguo degli eventi, la vicenda scorre all'inverno successivo: Hias è di nuovo tra i boschi e ha una nuova visione di due minuscole isole rocciose, sulle quali vivono persone che credono ancora che la Terra sia piatta.

Alcune di esse iniziano a nutrire dei dubbi e, dopo aver passato anni a scrutare il mare, lasciano l'isola per scoprire la verità, su un natante di dimensioni ridicole rispetto alla portata dell'impresa.

Richard Castle (stagioni 1-

È un famoso scrittore di gialli, che, dopo aver appena ucciso il suo più famoso personaggio, concludendo così brutalmente la serie di libri che l'ha reso ricco e famoso, si trova ora in una crisi creativa. Contemporaneamente, viene chiamato in aiuto del detective Kate Beckett del NYPD per indagare su un serial killer, il quale sembra uccidere le sue vittime con lo stesso modus operandi descritto nei suoi romanzi. Dopo aver aiutato il dipartimento nella caccia all'assassino, Castle chiede e ottiene il permesso di affiancare l'agente Beckett nelle indagini della squadra omicidi, per avere nuovi spunti narrativi. Ha un'ottima preparazione in medicina forense, psicopatologia criminale e procedure di polizia utili alle sue storie. Prima di scrivere i suoi libri ha intervistato molti criminali e serial killer, e ha conoscenze negli strati sociali più disparati, da un mafioso fan dei suoi libri al sindaco, fino ad agenti della CIA.
Kate Beckett (stagioni 1-

, interpretata da Stana Katic, doppiata da Francesca Fiorentini.
È una detective di prima classe nel NYPD, che ha la reputazione di interessarsi solo ai casi più strani. È diventata poliziotto in seguito all'omicidio irrisolto della madre. Anche se inizialmente è stata sua l'idea di coinvolgere Castle nelle indagini sul serial killer, successivamente le viene "imposto" (controvoglia) di lavorare costantemente con lo scrittore. La loro "convivenza forzata" agli inizi non è delle più facili, ma col tempo tra i due si sviluppa una forte amicizia, che è sempre in procinto di sfociare in qualcosa di più profondo.
Javier Esposito (stagioni 1-

, interpretato da Jon Huertas, doppiato da Roberto Certomà.
È un detective della sezione omicidi dal carattere tranquillo e posato, al servizio di Beckett insieme al suo partner Kevin Ryan, prima della polizia ha servito nelle forze speciali. Per una probabile svista che non è stata corretta nel doppiaggio italiano il cognome viene pronunciato Espòsito anziché Esposìto come nell'originale e come più verosimile con l'origine cubana o portoricana.
Kevin Ryan (stagioni 1-

, interpretato da Seamus Dever, doppiato da Gabriele Lopez.
È un agente della sezione omicidi, al servizio di Beckett, dal carattere allegro e un po' stravagante. Nella quarta stagione sposa la sua fidanzata Jenny O'Malley (interpretata da Juliana Dever, moglie di Seamus anche nella vita reale) da cui nella sesta stagione avrà una figlia.
