Trama

In un prossimo futuro, una spedizione spaziale conduce esperimenti su una base satellitare per risolvere la crisi energetica in cui versa la Terra, tanto grave da essere prossima a degenerare in uno stato di guerra diffusa. La spedizione è composta da un team internazionale che comprende una cinese, un'inglese, un americano, un russo, un tedesco, un irlandese e un brasiliano, e la tensione della politica terrestre arriva a intaccare anche gli equilibri interpersonali sulla base.

This DVD, from EMI's Classic Archive series contains footage from 1950-1975 made available from two of the richest television archives in the world: the BBC in the UK and INA in France. This volume includes the Ravel Concerto for Piano Left Hand and the Grieg Piano Concerto, performed by Samson Francois with Fremaux conducting. Also includes 3 Chopin Preludes in F-Sharp Minor, G Minor and D Minor performed by Maurizio Pollini.

Restored from the archives, this concert from Samson Francois sees him working his way through two pieces: Ravel's "Concerto For The Left Hand" and Grieg's "Piano Concerto In A Minor." As a bonus there are additional pieces, including "Chopin's 3 Preludes (F-Sharp Minor, G Minor & D Minor)."

The crew of a naval destroyer is forced to confront the reality of a new existence when a pandemic kills off most of the earth's population.

A seguito di una pandemia globale che ha quasi sterminato la razza umana, l'equipaggio del cacciatorpediniere USS Nathan James, della Marina degli Stati Uniti, cercherà di trovare le cause del virus e una possibile cura. A capo dell’equipaggio troviamo il comandante Tom Chandler (Eric Dane), aiutato dal suo secondo in comando Mike Slattery (Adam Baldwin) e dalla biologa Rachel Scott (Rhona Mitra), la quale è riuscita a trovare il ceppo primordiale del virus e sviluppare una cura alla fine della prima stagione.
Facciamo un salto in avanti di un bel po ‘di tempo. La quarta stagione si è conclusa nel migliore dei modi.
Il capitano Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) è tornato sulla Nathan James ed ha aiutato Slattery e gli altri a salvare il mondo dall’ennesima minaccia. La Nathan James è pronta alla sua prossima avventura.
Dalla quinta stagione la Nathan James non è più sola a solcare i mari. Vediamo infatti Kara (Marissa Neitling) comunicare felicemente via radio che lei e il resto della crew sono felici di non essere più i soli. A risponderle, tra gli altri, c’è anche Andrea (Fay Masterson). Vediamo anche Tom Chandler insegnare a una nuova generazione cosa ha rappresentato per il mondo il virus prima e la carestia poi. Un cyber attacco mette in ginocchio gli States, riportando Tom Chandler nuovamente al timone della missione per salvare il mondo. I responsabili sono, stavolta, i messicani.

"The Last Ship" è una serie televisiva statunitense del 2014 creata da Hank Steinberg e Steven Kane e prodotta, tra gli altri, da Michael Bay. La serie si basa sull'omonimo romanzo del 1988 di William Brinkley.
Nel cast troviamo anche: Charles Parnell (Comandante Hugh Jefer), Travis Van Winkle (Tenente Danny Green), Bridget Regan (Sasha, una vecchia conoscenza di Tom Chandler) e Christina Elmoren (Tenente Alisha Granders). Nella quinta stagione diventano fissi anche Emerson Brooks nel ruolo del Comandante Joseph Meylan e Jodie Turner-Smith che interpreta Azima Kandie.

Following on the success of the critically acclaimed, triple-platinum 'Rock And Roll Hall of Fame: LIVE' 3-DVD set, Time Life has announced the release of a new, exclusive DVD set featuring more historic performances from the legendary Rock Hall vaults. The 'ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME LIVE: THE LEGENDS' boasts 46 remarkable performances by the most influential and significant figures in rock music history, as well as the speeches, toasts and roasts by which these members of rock royalty salute each others' accomplishments. History is made when legendary artists such as Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Aretha Franklin and Al Green take the stage for once-in-a-lifetime collaborations. The 'ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME LIVE: THE LEGENDS' includes three DVD's featuring an assortment of performances spanning more than two decades of ceremonies, as well as induction and acceptance speeches, and never-before-seen backstage and rehearsal footage.
Among the highlights of the collection, available on May 25th, are:
-Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Keith Richards, Bruce Springsteen and many others perform a rollicking version of Berry's classic 'Roll Over Beethoven.'
-Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck stage a guitar duel on 'Beck's Bolero.'
-Paul McCartney leads an all-star tribute to Carl Perkins performing 'Blue Suede Shoes.'
-The 3 surviving members of The Doors are joined by Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder for 'Break On Through.'
-Bruce Springsteen and Wilson Pickett share the stage for Pickett's classic 'In the Midnight Hour. '

Also included in the deluxe DVD set are over four hours of bonus material, including behind-the-scenes and rehearsal footage, as well as candid induction and acceptance speeches.
Each year, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors rock music's pioneering figures during prestigious, black-tie ceremonies. Rock's biggest stars induct their biggest influences and contemporaries, with heartfelt, wise and witty speeches. Over the years, Paul McCartney has inducted John Lennon, Paul Simon has inducted Stevie Wonder, Steven Tyler has inducted AC/DC, Elton John has inducted The Beach Boys, and in turn, Elton John was inducted by Axl Rose. But, it's during the live performance part of the ceremony when rock history is really made.
With egos set aside, the artists take the stage and deliver once-in-a-lifetime performances, often with a truly mind-blowing combination of talent, such as Mick Jagger performing with Bruce Springsteen, R.E.M. with Eddie Vedder, The Band with Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck with Jimmy Page. As Robbie Robertson once commented, 'It's an opportunity to see musical combinations we may never see again as long as we live.'
