Io sono Mia è un film biografico del 2019 diretto da Riccardo Donna.

Interpretato da Serena Rossi, Lucia Mascino, Maurizio Lastrico, è basato sulla vita della cantante Mia Martini. Il film è una produzione della Eliseo Fiction di Luca Barbareschi in collaborazione con Rai Fiction

La narrazione prende il via nel 1989, dalla città di Sanremo, attraverso un racconto in flashback fino al 1970 (e ad alcuni episodi dell'infanzia) in occasione di un'intervista rilasciata dall'artista ad una giornalista proprio in quei giorni poche ore prima dell'esibizione, in cui ripercorre tutta la sua vita artistica e familiare.

La cantante partecipò quell'anno con il brano Almeno tu nell'universo e proveniva dal periodo drammatico della calunnia messa in giro negli anni settanta da un produttore con il quale si rifiutò di lavorare, secondo la quale portasse sfortuna, e dopo la travagliata storia d'amore con il fotografo Andrea (ispirato ad Ivano Fossati, il quale non ha voluto prendere parte al progetto) con cui è rimasta legata sentimentalmente per circa 10 anni.

TRAMA

Franco e Ciccio La Pera sono due soldati nordisti di origine siciliana che, durante la guerra di Secessione Americana, vengono accusati di
diserzione e condannati a morte. Siccome all'esercito servono due idioti, sotto il comando di due geni, per un'operazione di spionaggio,
la loro condanna viene rimandata.

I sudisti, che sono a conoscenza del piano, scambiano però Ciccio e Franco per i due geni e, dopo una serie di circostanze comiche,
finiscono nelle mani degli Apache.

Nonostante tutto, però, riusciranno sia a smascherare il traditore, sia a fermare l'esercito sudista rendendo al nord un immenso favore.
Per queste azioni vengono infine decorati e promossi ma, durante la cerimonia, riusciranno lo stesso a combinare un sacco di guai.
