TRAMA

Durante la Seconda guerra mondiale, una squadra di paracadutisti americani si addentra nei pressi di un villaggio occupato dai nazisti. Qui, i militari capiscono che i tedeschi hanno messo in atto non solo un'operazione d'invasione ma anche qualcosa di più terrificante. TRAMA

Tre ricchi dirigenti d'impresa quarantenni, sposati e bravi padri di famiglia, si ritrovano per la loro battuta di caccia annuale in una zona desertica ricca di canyon. I'm Going to Tell You a Secret is the title of a documentary that follows pop singer Madonna on her successful 2004 Re-Invention World Tour, and also of an album containing live music from that tour.

The documentary I'm Going to Tell You a Secret chronicles early events on the tour such as dancer auditions, rehearsals and opening night, and continues all the way through the final show and her visit to Israel late in 2004. The film premiered commercial-free on MTV in the United States on October 21, 2005.

The film received mixed reviews with Rolling Stone magazine mentioning that it "lacks the dishy delights of the diva's 1991 Truth or Dare doc. Instead, a more worldly Madge struggles to become a less sound-bite-reliant, more sincere person." The Guardian newspaper described it as "Fascinating, [it has] tiny flashes of insight into her relationship with Guy Ritchie, which occasionally involve her being just as girlie and ever so slightly insecure as the rest of us."

A CD+DVD package containing the documentary and the live album (see below) was relea
sed on June 20, 2006 by Warner Bros. Records and Warner Music
Vision.

TRAMA

TRAMA
La terza stagione della serie televisiva True Detective, composta da otto episodi, è trasmessa sul canale statunitense HBO dal 13 gennaio al 24 febbraio 2019. In Italia, la stagione va in onda in prima visione in lingua italiana sul canale satellitare Sky Atlantic dal 21 gennaio al 4 marzo 2019. È trasmessa in lingua originale sottotitolata in italiano dal 14 gennaio 2019, in simulcast con HBO. Il cast principale di questa stagione è formato da Mahershala Ali, Stephen Dorff, Carmen Ejogo, Scoot McNairy e Ray Fisher.

La trama si incentra su un episodio di cronaca nera avvenuta il 7 novembre 1980: la sparizione, nella profonda provincia dell'Arkansas, di due bambini, fratello e sorella, usciti in bicicletta e mai tornati a casa. Il caso viene affidato ai detective della Polizia di Stato Wayne Hays e Roland West. Il narratore è il det. Hays, che racconta i fatti da due distinte finestre temporali: la prima nel 1990, quando viene interrogato sulla vicenda dai suoi ex colleghi (nel frattempo si scopre che ha lasciato la polizia) perché è sopravvenuta una sconvolgente novità sul caso; la seconda nel 2015, quando l'anziano (e malato presumibilmente di demenza senile) Hays viene intervistato per un programma televisivo di cronaca.

Wayne Hayes è un detective ormai in pensione che da ben 35 anni è tormentato da un caso del passato. 1980: è passata una settimana da Halloween, e Will e Julie Purcell, due fratelli rispettivamente di 12 e 10 anni, una sera non tornano più a casa a West Fringe, in Arkansas. I loro genitori, Tom e Lucy, sono disperati. La polizia viene allertata, e il caso viene affidato a Hays e al suo partner Roland West. Cos’è successo a Will e Julie?

I Purcell, che già non andavano d’accordo prima e che ora non fanno che rinfacciarsi a vicenda la sparizione dei figli, non sono di grande aiuto, ma i due detective fanno del loro meglio per ricostruire gli ultimi giorni e gli ultimi spostamenti dei ragazzini. Purtroppo, però, i fratelli vengono trovati morti.

Da missing a murder, da ricerca di persone scomparse a indagine per omicidio: tutto si fa ancora più complicato. Viene sguinzagliata una pletora di ufficiali della contea e di agenti dell’FBI, e vengono interrogate molte persone. Si arriva a qualche indagato, ma non si riesce a trovare il colpevole. O i colpevoli. Il caso viene dunque accantonato, ma dieci anni dopo, nel 1990, una nuova, scioccante scoperta riporta i riflettori sul caso. Eppure la verità è ancora lontana.

25 anni dopo, Hays, ormai anziano, accetta di essere intervistato per un documentario true crime incentrato sul brutale omicidio di Will e Julie Purcell. E lì, rispondendo alle domande dell’intervistatrice e rivisitando anche il più piccolo dettaglio, riaffiorano alcune dolorose memorie. Qualcosa non torna. Qualcosa non è mai tornato...

When a botched U.S. government experiment turns a group of death row inmates into highly infectious vampires, an orphan girl might be the only person able to stop the ensuing crisis.

The Passage ruota attorno il Progetto Noah, un progetto medico che è basato su un pericoloso virus e che ha come obiettivo quello di trovare la cura a tutte le malattie. Il virus, però, porta anche con sé la potenziale distruzione della razza umana, trasformando tutti gli esseri umani in pericolose creature. Una giovane ragazza, Amy Bellafonte interpretata da Saniyya Sidney (Fences), viene scelta come cavia per il progetto Noah, e l'agente federale Brad Wolgast (Mark-Paul Gosselaar - Pitch) è incaricato di consegnarla al Progetto. Il rapporto tra i due, però, evolverà fino al punto che Wolgast diventerà come un padre per Amy, e la difenderà ad ogni costo.

Le vicende porteranno Brad ed Amy a confrontarsi con gli scienziati assegnati al Progetto Noah: il maggiore Nichole Sykes, che è interpretata da Caroline Chikezie (Le Cronache di Shannara) ed il Dottore Jonas Lear, ovvero l'Henry Ian Cusick di Lost. Con loro anche Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire) nei panni di Clark Richards, il soldato che prima dell'inizio dell'apocalisse addestrò Brad Wolgast. La narrazione porterà i protagonisti verso lo scontro con nuove razze nate dal Progetto Noah e intrappolate al suo interno, come l'ex scienziato Tim Fanning (Jamie McShane - Sons of Anarchy), e i carcerati rinchiusi nel braccio della morte Shauna Babcock (Brianne Howey - The Exorcist) e Anthony Carter (McKinley Belcher III - Ozark). Brad sarà costretto a cercare degli alleati e troverà così l'aiuto della sua ex moglie, la Dottoressa Lila Kyle, interpretata da Emmanuelle Chriqui (Murder in The First). Mentre gli scienziati sono al lavoro su una cura che possa portare alla salvezza dell'umanità, le nuove creature iniziano a provare i loro poteri, cercando la fuga che porterebbe verso un'apocalisse inimmaginabile.

Il Montego Air Flight 828 sparisce dal radar per poi riapparire dal nulla dopo 5 anni. Quando riappare per i passeggeri sono trascorse solo poche ore, invece no. In quei cinque anni di assenza i loro amici, famiglie e colleghi, dopo aver pianto la loro perdita, hanno abbandonato la speranza e sono andati avanti con le loro vite. Ora, di fronte all’impossibile, a tutti viene data una seconda possibilità. Ma quando la loro nuova realtà diventa chiara, si sviluppa un mistero più profondo e alcuni dei passeggeri ritornati alla vita quotidiana capiscono presto che potrebbero essere coinvolti in un progetto più grande di quanto abbiano mai pensato possibile.

"Manifest" è una serie del 2018, ideata da Jack Rapke e Robert Zemeckis.
Nel cast troviamo: Josh Dallas nei panni di Ben, un analista dei Servizi Segreti in lotta con una rara forma di cancro e una misteriosa voce nella sua testa; Melissa Roxburgh nel ruolo di Michaela; Athena Karkanis interpreta Grace, la moglie di Ben pronta ad abbracciare la ritrovata normalità familiare; J.R. Ramirez nei panni del detective Williams, lacerato dal ritorno improvviso del suo primo amore.
