TRAMA

In un futuro prossimo la Terra è devastata da continue tempeste di sabbia e da una piaga che ha distrutto tutte le piantagioni di grano, lasciando però intatto il mais. Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) è un ex-astronauta della NASA che come tanti ha dovuto dedicarsi alla coltivazione del mais nella sua piccola azienda agricola dove vive insieme alla figlia Murph e al figlio Tom. Grazie a una serie di strane circostanze Cooper rientrerà in contatto con la NASA, che sa che la piaga presto attaccherà le altre coltivazioni e che opera segretamente per tentare di trovare una soluzione all'imminente catastrofe planetaria. Inizierà così un'avventura che porterà Cooper in un viaggio interstellare attraverso un cunicolo spazio-temporale, alla ricerca di pianeti di altre galassie dove si spera che l'umanità possa trovare un ambiente dove salvarsi dall'estinzione e proseguire il proprio cammino evolutivo.

A causa di un trauma subito da bambina (assistette all'assassinio della propria madre), aggravato dalla recente morte in un incidente automobilistico del bimbo che aveva in grembo, la giovane Jane Harrison vive in un'atmosfera di costante tensione. Da un po' di tempo i suoi incubi si sono materializzati, assumendo l'aspetto di un ignoto sicario armato di pugnale che la perseguita senza tregua.

Because of a trauma suffered as a child (he witnessed the murder of his mother), exacerbated by the recent death in a car accident of the baby in his lap, the young Jane Harrison lives in an atmosphere of constant tension. For some time his nightmares have materialized, taking on the appearance of an unknown gunman armed with a dagger that persecutes her without respite.
