Slowly the camera roams through the narrow streets of Macerata, past the cathedral, the monuments, the library and the university, until it reaches the Arena Sferisterio. In the 1820s this was a competition venue for a handball game popular at that time. At the beginning of the twentieth century the ‘neo-classical monster’, as the stadium is disrespectfully called in the vernacular, was also discovered as an opera venue and a dazzling backdrop for the ‘Macerata Opera Festival’. The stage, which is 14.5 meters deep and 40 meters wide, is sufficiently large for all kinds of events and spectacles to be staged. At the end of July 2002 the time had come again. An audience of 5000 had gathered to listen to the new production of Gaetano Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore under the direction Saverio Marconi, conducted by Niels Muus. Using a trick the director succeeded in preserving the open-air atmosphere while at the same time eliminating the annoying echo of the voices and instruments. The orchestra was seated in an enormous box that was put on the stage, while the singers, in traditional costumes by Silvia Aymonino, performed on stage in front of it, among them the young Valeria Esposito as Adina, Aquiles Machado in the role of Nemorino, Enrico Marrucci as Belcore and the very young Erwin Schrott as Dulcamara. The premiere of Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore in the Teatro della Canobbiana in Milan on 12 May 1832, was an unqualified success; it resulted in a series of 32 sold-out houses for the composer and even inspired Richard Wagner in 1840 to produce a piano score of the work.

“Don Matteo” si ripresenta al pubblico con il calore di sempre. La “grande famiglia” comprende don Matteo (Terence Hill), i carabinieri Cecchini(Nino Frassica),Tommasi (Simone Montedoro) e poi, in canonica, Natalina (Nathalie Guetta) e Pippo(Francesco Scali), ma anche Laura (Laura Glavan), giovane ragazza madre della piccola Ester (Letizia Arnò), ormai cresciuta.
E come in ogni famiglia ci sono gioie, soddisfazioni, ma anche problemi, imprevisti e conflitti da affrontare e risolvere. Lo sa bene don Matteo, il vero punto di riferimento per tutti.

Lo sa bene anche perché quando inizia la nostra nuova serie sono ormai passati due anni da quando Patrizia (Pamela Saino) non c'è più, la moglie del capitano è morta in un incidente stradale. Per fortuna che accanto a Tommasi e Cecchini c'è stato sempre don Matteo, grazie a lui sono riusciti a superare questo dolore trovando una nuova ragione di vita e quella ragione si chiama Martina (Emma Reale), la figlia che sua moglie aveva dato alla luce un anno prima e ora ha 4 anni. Si sono tutti stretti attorno alla bambina per farle sentire che la loro è una famiglia felice e unita. Con l'aiuto di Don Matteo, e nonostante le intromissioni di Cecchini, Tommasi a poco a poco è diventato il padre perfetto riuscendo a sopportare anche la difficile coabitazione con i suoceri.

Oltre alla nascita di Martina la novita della nona serie è la città di Spoleto: in prima puntata troviamo il nostro prete detective a Gubbio separato dai suoi amici carabinieri che sono stati trasferiti entrambi a Spoleto. Un accorpamento di caserme deciso dall’alto: anche Cecchini e Tommasi hanno dovuto fare i conti con la spending review. Come farà il maresciallo senza Don Matteo, fedele amico e insostituibile partner nelle indagini grazie al suo acume e alla fine abilità di “scrutatore di anime”? Riusciranno a ritrovarsi malgrado tutto e continuare insieme le avventure che durano ormai da tredici anni?

Don Matteo è un format di successo tutto italiano andato in onda la prima volta il 7 gennaio 2000 su Rai 1. La serie negli anni è stata apprezzata in tutto il mondo, dalla Francia alla Finlandia, dall’America all’Australia. Nel 1996 Jack Wilson, produttore di una piccola emittente televisiva, sta preparando un'edizione speciale del suo programma dedicato al crimine, da trasmettere in occasione del venticinquennale della condanna penale di uno dei più famosi serial killer della storia americana e di alcuni suoi "seguaci". Attraverso le interviste agli ex "discepoli" di Manson (quasi tutti pentiti dei loro crimini), rivive la storia della "famiglia", inizialmente fondata intorno al 1967 nella campagna losangelina dallo stesso Charles (ex detenuto, che ha trascorso gran parte della vita in cella) e da Bobby, entrambi musicisti rock, insieme alle loro rispettive amanti. La congrega costituita sul modello di una comune hippie secondo la consuetudine dell'epoca e stabilitasi in un isolato ranch (dopo averne circuito l'anziano proprietario) comincia ad attirare un numero crescente di persone, tra cui "Tex" Watson, un ex campione universitario di football.
Il libero amore e l'uso massiccio di droghe psichedeliche (marijuana e LSD) sono le attività principali del gruppo. Charlie (come lo chiamano affettuosamente amici e "confratelli&quot conquista sempre maggiore carisma e influenza sui componenti della "famiglia" fino a trasformarla progressivamente in una specie di setta religiosa di seguaci ciecamente obbedienti al suo volere. Manson desidera ardentemente diventare una popstar (ufficialmente per diffondere al mondo intero il suo confuso messaggio spirituale basato su una bizzarra religione "pansessuale" frammista a una versione molto personale del Cristianesimo) e allo scopo inizia a frequentare importanti personaggi del mondo musicale tra i quali il produttore Terry Melcher.
Questi gli fa registrare alcune sue composizioni in formato demo dapprima promettendo di procurargli un vantaggioso contratto d'incisione, ma successivamente ci ripensa adducendo come motivazione il momentaneo disinteresse nei confronti del talento artistico di Charlie, da parte dei suoi contatti nelle alte sfere dell'industria discografica. La reazione dell'ex carcerato è veemente: in lui cresce un enorme desiderio di vendetta contro la parte opulenta della società americana e losangelina in particolare. Improvvisamente il "capofamiglia" comincia a profetizzare l'imminente inizio di una guerra razziale mondiale tra bianchi e neri (Helter Skelter, dal titolo di un brano dei Beatles che Manson ritiene essere uno speciale messaggio indirizzato a lui dalle quattro rockstar), guerra alla quale egli intende preparare i suoi seguaci: dice loro di procurarsi soldi e mezzi di sussistenza da ogni fonte possibile per potersi poi ritirare nella Death Valley.
L'escalation di violenza all'interno della setta è vertiginosa: dalle orge rituali pseudo-sataniche si passa ai furti nelle abitazioni private fino ai primi omicidi. Le prime vittime sono uno spacciatore di colore e un insegnante di musica, entrambi trucidati per questione di soldi; mentre il primo assassinio è opera dello stesso Charlie, il secondo (particolarmente sanguinoso), compiuto su istigazione del leader e in concorso con Sadie, una delle tante ragazze della "famiglia", viene commesso da Bobby. Quest'ultimo, dopo una breve latitanza, viene catturato dalla polizia. Manson allora ordina a Tex e ad alcune donne della comune di compiere una grande strage simbolica che serva a punire i ricchi hollywoodiani e ne faccia ricadere la responsabilità sui gruppi rivoluzionari afroamericani (su tutti le Black Panthers) in modo così da scagionare il "confratello" in cella e anticipare la venuta dell'Helter Skelter.
Per attuare la vendetta della setta viene scelta la ex villa di Melcher, ora abitata da Roman Pola?ski (assente all'epoca dei fatti) con la moglie Sharon Tate, incinta del loro primo figlio. Il "commando" fa irruzione nell'abitazione sorprendendo l'attrice con alcuni amici e compie una carneficina lasciando poi sui muri alcune frasi, scritte col sangue delle vittime, attribuibili ad estremisti di colore. Stessa sorte tocca pochi giorni dopo ai coniugi La Bianca e in seguito alcuni membri della comune, su incitamento del loro capo, trucidano Shorty, un dipendente del ranch, che non aveva mai visto di buon occhio la "famiglia", reputandolo responsabile (come spia) della cattura di Bobby.
Non essendosi preoccupati di cancellare adeguatamente le loro impronte digitali lasciate nelle due case (in quanto sotto l'effetto di anfetamine durante entrambe le stragi) ben presto gli autori dei delitti vengono arrestati e in breve anche Manson finisce in manette. La nefasta influenza di quest'ultimo sui giovani americani però continua ad essere molto forte anche nel 1996, al punto che alcuni di loro sono pronti a continuare la sua "missione" sulla Terra, cioè distruggere il "Sistema" che li ha generati e violentati, oltre a difendere la figura del loro "Messia" da ogni tentativo di minaccia (vera o presunta) con i mezzi più violenti.

In 1996, Jack Wilson, producer of a small television station, is preparing a special edition of his program dedicated to crime, to be broadcast on the occasion of the twenty-five year sentence of one of the most famous serial killers in American history and some of his "followers" ". Through the interviews with the former "disciples" of Manson (almost all repentant of their crimes), relives the story of the "family", initially founded around 1967 in the Los Angeles countryside by Charles himself (ex-convict, who spent most of his life in cell) and Bobby, both rock musicians, along with their respective lovers. The coven formed on the model of a common hippie according to the custom of the time and established in an isolated ranch (after having circuited the old owner) begins to attract an increasing number of people, including "Tex" Watson, a former university champion of football.
Free love and the massive use of psychedelic drugs (marijuana and LSD) are the group's main activities. Charlie (as they affectionately call him friends and "brothers&quot gains ever greater charisma and influence on the members of the "family" to progressively transform it into a sort of religious sect of followers blindly obedient to his will. Manson ardently wishes to become a pop star (officially to spread to the whole world his confused spiritual message based on a bizarre "pansexual" religion mixed with a very personal version of Christianity) and for this purpose he begins to frequent important personalities of the musical world including the producer Terry Melcher.
The latter recorded some of his compositions in demo format at first promising to get him a profitable recording contract, but then rethinks as motivation for the momentary lack of interest in the artistic talent of Charlie, from his contacts in the upper echelons of industry record. The reaction of the former prisoner is vehement: in him grows a huge desire for revenge against the opulent part of American society and Los Angeles in particular. Suddenly the "head of the family" begins to prophesy the imminent beginning of a racial world war between blacks and whites (Helter Skelter, from the title of a Beatles song that Manson considers to be a special message addressed to him by the four rock stars), war to which he intends to prepare his followers: he tells them to get money and means of subsistence from every possible source in order to then withdraw into Death Valley.
The escalation of violence within the sect is vertiginous: from the pseudo-satanic ritual orgies we pass to the thefts in private homes until the first murders. The first victims are a color dealer and a music teacher, both slaughtered for money; while the first murder is the work of Charlie himself, the second (particularly bloody), carried out on the instigation of the leader and in competition with Sadie, one of the many girls of the "family", is committed by Bobby. The latter, after a brief inaction, is captured by the police. Manson orders then to Tex and some women of the commune to carry out a great symbolic massacre that serves to punish the rich Hollywood and make it fall on the African American revolutionary groups (on all the Black Panthers) so as to exonerate the "confratello" in the cell and anticipate the coming of the Helter Skelter.
To implement the vengeance of the sect, the former villa of Melcher, now inhabited by Roman Pola?ski (absent at the time of the events) was chosen with his wife Sharon Tate, pregnant with their first child. The "commando" breaks into the house surprising the actress with some friends and performs a carnage leaving then on the walls a few sentences, written with the blood of the victims, attributable to extremists of color. The same fate touches a few days later the spouses La Bianca and later some members of the municipality, on incitement of their boss, slaughter Shorty, an employee of the ranch, who had never looked favorably at the "family", reputed responsible (as a spy ) of Bobby's capture.
Having not bothered to properly erase their fingerprints left in the two houses (as under the effect of amphetamine during both massacres) soon the perpetrators of the crimes are arrested and soon even Manson ends up in handcuffs. The nefarious influence of the latter on young Americans, however, continues to be very strong even in 1996, to the point that some of them are ready to continue his "mission" on Earth, that is to destroy the "System" that has generated and raped them. , in addition to defending the figure of their "Messiah" from any attempt to threaten (true or presumed) with the most violent means.

Il docente universitario Massimo D'Antona, da poco consulente giuridico del ministero del Lavoro, viene sorvegliato ventiquattrore al giorno da un gruppo bene addestrato, che si rivelerà essere una nuova formazione delle Brigate Rosse. Lo scopo della sorveglianza è commettere un attentato politico, che avviene in via Salaria, la mattina del 19 maggio 1999.
Sul caso indaga Diego Marra, vicequestore della Digos, con l'aiuto della sua squadra e del suo braccio destro, Spano, vera e propria memoria storica del terrorismo.
L'omicidio viene rivendicato poche ore dopo dalle "Brigate rosse per la costruzione del Partito comunista combattente", che spediscono ai giornali una risoluzione strategica di 28 pagine. In questo documento D'Antona viene descritto come un "esponente di spicco dell'equilibrio politico dominante", al servizio della "borghesia imperialista".
Il gruppo, capeggiato da Lidia Montero, è costituito da persone all'apparenza normali, insospettabili, che hanno però una doppia vita (Maurizio, Pietro, Carla, Silvio, Sandra).
Marra è convinto che il gruppo terroristico sia collegato ai brigatisti protagonisti della scena negli anni settanta. Dopo approfondite ricerche, gli inquirenti arguiscono che potrebbe trattarsi di vecchi Nuclei Comunisti Combattenti, raccordi che ora si sono sostituiti ai loro "maestri".
Tramite la testimonianza di un ragazzo che ha visto uno degli assassini riescono a risalire alla scheda telefonica utilizzata per la rivendicazione, e tramite nuove tecniche e tecnologie riescono a risalire alla vita della scheda stessa. L'analisi dei video delle telecamere di sicurezza della banca si rivelano invece infruttuose.
Nel frattempo i brigatisti, che hanno individuato Marco Biagi come il successivo obiettivo, compiono delle rapine per finanziare l'azione successiva.
Per mettere a tacere la stampa, dal ministero viene diramata la falsa notizia che gli inquirenti sono ad un passo dalla cattura dei colpevoli dell'omicidio D'Antona, cosa che mette in seria difficoltà la squadra della Digos, che puntava sull'effetto sorpresa per colpire gli attentatori.
Marra deve incassare un altro duro colpo: il sospetto brigatista arrestato non viene riconosciuto dal testimone durante un confronto all'americana.
Frattanto cominciano i problemi per Marco Biagi, cui viene tolta la scorta. Nonostante egli riceva telefonate notturne anonime e sia una delle persone concretamente più in pericolo, egli rientra nella riduzione delle scorte pari al 30%, una decisione presa dal ministro per via del clima politico creatosi dopo gli Attentati dell'11 settembre 2001. La sera del 19 marzo 2002 Marco Biagi viene assassinato davanti alla propria abitazione. Il calibro della pistola è lo stesso utilizzato per il delitto D'Antona. Anche questa volta l'omicidio viene rivendicato dalla Brigate Rosse, che trasmettono via mail ad un giornale un documento politico. La moglie del giurista rifiuta i funerali di Stato: "Lo Stato non c'era prima, e non lo voglio neanche adesso". Marra, che è stato affiancato dal vice questore Ruggeri, decide di seguire nuovamente la pista delle schede, che porta all'individuazione di una donna. Il 2 marzo 2003 Lidia e Maurizio stanno recandosi in treno ad Arezzo quando vengono fermati da tre poliziotti durante un controllo. Maurizio uccide il capopattuglia Petri e viene a sua volta colpito a morte, Lidia viene arrestata. Sul suo palmare Marra trova un documento di accusa ad un componente del gruppo. Incrociando i dati delle schede riescono a risalire a tutte le chiamate fatte, individuando diversi componenti del gruppo. In seguito ad una fuga di notizie ai giornali la Digos è costretta ad anticipare i fermi, lasciandosi sfuggire un paio di brigatisti. Marla capisce che Carla è l'anello debole, e riesce a strapparle la password per accedere al computer. Trovano così la pianificazione del nuovo obbiettivo: un sindacalista, che viene salvato all'ultimo momento. Addosso ad uno dei brigatisti viene trovato un ritaglio di giornale con un annuncio per uno scantinato in affitto, dove trovano e arrestano anche l'ultimo brigatista.

University professor Massimo D'Antona, recently a legal advisor to the Ministry of Labor, is monitored by a well-trained group around the clock, which will prove to be a new formation of the Red Brigades. To silence the press, the ministry reports the false news that the investigators are one step away from the capture of the perpetrators of the murder of D'Antona, which puts the team of the Digos in serious difficulty, which focused on the surprise effect for hit the bombers.
Marra must collect another blow: the suspected brigadist arrested is not recognized by the witness during a confrontation with the American.
Meanwhile the problems begin for Marco Biagi, whose escort is removed. On 2 March 2003, Lidia and Maurizio are going by train to Arezzo when they are stopped by three policemen during a check. Maurizio kills his head patrol Petri and is himself shot dead, Lidia is arrested. On his PDA Marra finds an indictment document to a member of the group. Crossing the data of the cards can be traced back to all the calls made, identifying different components of the group. Following a leak of news to the newspapers, the Digos is forced to anticipate the detentions, leaving a pair of brigades. Marla realizes that Carla is the weak link, and manages to get her password to access the computer. Thus they find the planning of the new goal: a trade unionist, who is saved at the last moment. On one of the brigatists, a newspaper clipping is found with an announcement for a rented basement, where they also find and arrest the last brigade.

Trama: Due mondi distanti si incontrano nella pellicola partenopea di Marco e Antonio Manetti, Ammore e malavita. La giovane infermiera Fatima (Serena Rossi) è una ragazza onesta e sognatrice, finita per sbaglio in una situazione pericolosa. Ciro riceve l'incarico di sbarazzarsi di quella testimone indesiderata che "ha visto troppo", ma le cose non vanno come previsto. I due si trovano faccia a faccia, si riconoscono e riscoprono l'uno nell'altra, l'amore mai dimenticato della loro adolescenza. Per Ciro c'è una sola soluzione: tradire don Vincenzo e donna Maria e uccidere chi li vuole uccidere. Inizia così una lotta senza quartiere sullo sfondo degli gli splendidi scenari dei vicoli di Napoli e il mare del golfo. Tra musica e azione, amore e pallottole.

Padre di Tom e Jill, lo smembramento della sua famiglia lo mette sempre più a dura prova. Alle difficoltà della vita quotidiana si aggiungono strani sogni e visioni che tormentano le sue notti, facendogli provare il forte timore di impazzire, come accaduto a suo padre.
Lorelei "Laurie" Garvey (stagioni 1-3), interpretata da Amy Brenneman.
È la moglie di Kevin e madre di Tom e Jill. Psichiatra affermata prima dell'Improvvisa Dipartita ha lasciato tutta la sua vita alle spalle per unirsi alla misteriosa setta dei "Colpevoli Sopravvissuti"; nonostante provi una bruciante nostalgia per la sua famiglia, è tra le più fedeli osservanti delle regole del gruppo. Nel corso della serie viene rivelato che il 14 ottobre, proprio durante un'ecografia di controllo, vide sparire il feto che portava in grembo.
Matt Jamison (stagioni 1-3), interpretato da Christopher Eccleston, doppiato da Massimo De Ambrosis.
È il reverendo di Mapleton. Figura di rilievo della comunità prima degli eventi del 14 ottobre, in conseguenza viene di fatto messo da parte come viene messa da parte la religione. L'evento della dipartita ha conseguenze drastiche su di lui, di ritorno da una visita a causa di una misteriosa malattia da cui è affetto sin da bambino e che si ripresenta ogni due anni, in simultanea alla dipartita avrà un incidente stradale da cui la moglie ne uscirà in stato vegetativo. È fortemente impegnato nella pubblicazione di volantini e manifesti dove cerca di dimostrare che l'evento non è quello biblicamente profetizzato divulgando le malefatte di molti dei dipartiti e per questo viene sovente aggredito. Perde la propria chiesa, già pignorata, per un ritardato rimborso alla banca. L'edificio in questione viene rilevato dai Colpevoli Sopravvissuti per trasformarlo in una propria struttura. Dopo aver inutilmente cercato un dialogo con la setta negli ultimi episodi dedica le pubblicazioni ai suoi membri. Dimostra in più occasioni di conoscere alcuni retroscena della misteriosa setta interpretando le sacre scritture.
Megan "Meg" Abbott (stagioni 1-3), interpretata da Liv Tyler, doppiata da Stella Musy.
Una giovane donna che alla soglia della nozze decide di unirsi ai "Colpevoli Sopravvissuti". Ha spesso difficoltà a rispettare il 'voto di silenzio' che il gruppo richiede.
Tom "Tommy" Garvey (stagioni 1-3), interpretato da Chris Zylka, doppiato da Luca Mannocci.
È il figlio maggiore di Laurie, avuto da una precedente relazione della donna, che ha recentemente lasciato il college per seguire il misterioso guru chiamato "Santo Wayne". La sua famiglia ignora dove stia attualmente. Vi farà ritorno al termine della prima stagione dopo aver scoperto che Wayne ha messo incinte più ragazze di origine asiatica dicendo loro che il figlio in arrivo è il prescelto.
Jill Garvey (stagioni 1-3), interpreta da Margaret Qualley, doppiata da Giulia Franceschetti.
È la figlia minore di Kevin e Laurie. È un'adolescente apatica che soffre per la perdita della madre e la dissoluzione della sua famiglia. Negli ultimi episodi della prima stagione si unisce anch'ella ai Colpevoli Sopravvissuti.

Una donna che ha perso il marito ed i due figli nell'Improvvisa Dipartita. È la sorella del reverendo Matt Jamison. Da lui scoprirà il tradimento del marito prima della dipartita. Dopo essere stata liberata dei propri tormenti da Santo Wayne inizia una relazione con Kevin Garvey.
Aimee (stagione 1), interpretata da Emily Meade, doppiata da Gaia Bolognesi.
È la migliore amica di Jill. Per ragioni non chiare viene ospitata a lungo a casa di Jill, andandosene poi quando verrà accusata ingiustamente dall'amica di essere andata a letto con il padre.
Lucy Warburton (stagione 1), interpretata da Amanda Warren, doppiata da Rossella Acerbo.
È il sindaco di Mapleton. Ha avuto in passato una relazione con Kevin Garvey.

È un misterioso uomo che gira per la città sparando ai cani. Ha un bizzarro ed inquietante rapporto con Kevin Garvey, di cui quest'ultimo sembra non rendersi bene conto.

È il fratello gemello di Adam e amico di Jill e Aimee.

È una delle seguaci di "Santo Wayne", che per lui ha un significato speciale e misterioso. Rimasta incinta del guru rimarrà fedele alla sua figura fino al parto, per poi convincersi di essere stata raggirata da lui. Alla fine della stagione abbandona anche Tom, rimasto accanto a lei fino ad allora su istruzioni di Wayne, prendendo la propria strada ed abbandonando anche la bambina appena nata.
Mary Jamison (ricorrente stagione 1, stagioni 2-3), interpretata da Janel Moloney.
È la moglie di Matt, rimasta in stato vegetativo a seguito di un incidente stradale avvenuto durante l'Improvvisa Dipartita.
