Callum Lynch è un criminale che ha passato la vita entrando e uscendo di prigione. Incaricati di mantenere l'ordine nel vasto universo, i due giovani agenti fanno squadra sotto le direttive del governo dei territori umani, imbarcandosi in mirabolanti imprese ai confini della galassia. Quando la loro missione li conduce alle porte della città di Alpha, una metropoli rivoluzionaria in continua espansione, e dove esemplari di specie provenienti da diversi angoli dell'universo vivono in un regime pacifico di condivisione del sapere, assistono con i loro occhi ai risultati dell'incredibile progresso tecnologico e scientifico, che emerge dal diffuso benessere della comunità. Tuttavia, dopo secoli di pace e prosperità, qualcuno sta tentando di frenare tale progresso e innescare il crollo dell'intero sistema. Il comandante delle forze umane (Clive Owen) concede agli agenti sul campo meno di dieci ore di tempo per individuare ed estirpare l'origine della minaccia. Intanto Valerian, che ha fama di incorreggibile dongiovanni spaziale, non si lascia sfuggire occasione per corteggiare l'avvenente compagna di squadra, nemmeno se braccato da micidiali nemici o in fuga da creature mostruose. Diretto dal regista visionario Luc Besson, Valerian si basa sull'omonimo fumetto francese di fantascienza degli anni sessanta, il cui stile complesso e curato nei minimi dettagli ha influenzato una delle sue pellicole più famose: Il quinto elemento.

Three Northern Irish middle-aged priests - brothers Father Martin and Father Eugene OÕHagan, along with school friend Father David Delargy - who signed a global recording deal in 2008 with Sony BMG, made an extraordinary debut concert in one of the worldÕs most historic cathedrals, and is now available to own on DVD for the first time.

Before a packed audience of hundreds of adoring fans and US TV camera, The Priests performed soaring renditions of Catholic classics such as Ave Maria, Pie Jesu and Panis Angelicus as well as classical Irish songs in an hour long concert at Armagh Cathedral, Northern Ireland. Their outstanding harmonies won ecstatic applause from an audience comprising of all denominations.

The Priests' self-titled debut album was released in autumn 2008 in more than 40 countries across the globe. The Armagh concert was broadcast coast to coast in the US and recordings for the album were made along with two Vatican choirs in St PeterÕs Basilica in Rome.

Following the Armagh concert Father Eugene O'Hagan commented, "Tonight was one of the most moving of my life. It was just fantastic to receive such a reception from a wonderfully appreciative audience".

Father Martin said, "If we can truly reach out to the world through the music then we feel we will have brought some pleasure to people and lifted their hearts".

Father David, who counts Tina Turner and Sting among his musical favourites added, "What has happened to us since we signed to Sony BMG is just beyond the wildest dreams of any of us. We all feel we are on an extraordinary journey."

The Priests signed a unique recording contract less than a year ago, which ensure that their day jobs will never be interrupted, no matter what the scale of their musical success. Their priestly duties are enshrined in a contract which includes a clause freeing them from any promotional or recording commitments - parish duties always take precedence. "Weddings, funerals, baptisms - all of these things must go on and will always come first for us" says Father Eugene.

Spotted by Sony BMG talent scouts less than 12 months ago, their debut album is already a record breaker, officially being the fastest selling debut by a classical act. The album sold over a million copies worldwide in just 7 weeks, achieving platinum status in the UK, Norway, Sweden, New Zealand and outstandingly the album is 5 times platinum in their native Ireland. The album was produced by music legend Mike Hedges, the man responsible for hit albums by U2 and Manic Street Preachers.

L'amante indiana (Broken Arrow) è un film del 1950 diretto da Delmer Daves, tratto dal romanzo "Blood Brother" del 1947 di Elliott Arnold

È un film western di produzione statunitense girato a colori technicolor.

Nel 1870 Tom Jefford, scout dell'esercito degli Stati Uniti, salva un giovane indiano, diventandone fratello di sangue. Inizia così ad instaurare un rapporto nuovo con i pellerossa basato sulla pace e il reciproco rispetto. La cosa però non è gradita agli altri bianchi che reputano Tom un traditore tanto che dopo l'ultimo massacro Jefford rischia il linciaggio. È il generale Howard che, per ordine di Washington, deve cercare la pace con gli indiani di Cochise, a convincere Tom ad accompagnarlo all'accampamento. Qui nel frattempo Jefford sposa Stella del Mattino. Tra i bianchi, però, c'è chi ha interesse che la guerra continui e i più deboli ne fanno le spese...

Saetta McQueen continua la sua vita nelle corse, con i suoi amici Bob Swift e Cal Weathers. Durante una di queste corse, Saetta viene sconfitto da Jackson Storm, una nuova macchina da corsa di ultima generazione. Qualche giorno dopo, Storm diventa il nuovo campione e il successo da lui conseguito costringe molti vecchi campioni, tra cui Bobby e Cal, a ritirarsi. Saetta non si rassegna all'anzianità e decide con tenacia di continuare a gareggiare. Durante una di queste corse, nell'estremo tentativo di sconfiggere Storm, una delle sue ruote posteriori ha un cedimento e McQueen rimane vittima di un incidente in seguito al quale non potrà terminare il campionato, lasciando così Storm vincere la sua prima Piston Cup. Quattro mesi dopo, ripresosi dal grave incidente ma ancora scosso, Saetta trascorre il tempo chiuso in se stesso a rievocare gli insegnamenti del suo mentore Doc Hudson. Grazie al sostegno di Sally, di Cricchetto e di tutti gli amici di Radiator Springs, quest'ultimo decide di tornare a gareggiare e contatta i suoi storici sponsor della Rust-eze che lo invitano a recarsi al loro nuovo centro d'allenamento....

The Corrs are a Celtic folk rock band from Dundalk, Ireland. The group consists of the Corr siblings: Andrea (lead vocals, tin whistle); Sharon (violin, vocals); Caroline (drums, piano, bodhr‡n, vocals); and Jim (guitar, piano, vocals).

The Corrs came to international prominence with their performance at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, and their support of Celine Dion on her 1996 Falling into You Tour. Since then, they have released five studio albums and numerous singles, which have reached platinum in many countries. Talk on Corners, their most successful album to date, reached multi-platinum status in Australia and the UK.

The Corrs have been actively involved in philanthropic activities. They have performed in numerous charity concerts such as the Prince's Trust in 2004 and Live 8 alongside Bono in 2005. The same year, they were awarded honorary MBEs for their contributions to music and charity.[3] The Corrs are on hiatus because Jim and Caroline are raising families, while Andrea and Sharon are pursuing solo careers.

Known for their uncanny ability to smoothly blend traditional pop/rock with Celtic elements, the Irish-born and bred band the Corrs first garnered a devoted following in the late '90s with the issue of two studio albums, Forgiven, Not Forgotten and Talk on Corners; this only marked the beginning of a still-prospering career. The Corrs: All the Way Home -- History Of -- Live in Geneva features two segments; the first half is a documentary on the band -- with rare, unreleased material including the Corrs' demo tapes, new interviews with the band members, a film of the group's debut appearance, snapshots of the members, and promotional music videos. In the second half, the Corrs perform a full concert, live in Geneva, as one stop on their 2004 world tour. Sette giovani emarginati di Derry, Maine, si autodefiniscono il Club dei Perdenti. Facendo gruppo durante un’estate orribile ma esaltante, i Perdenti si compattano per riuscire a sconfiggere le proprie paure e fermare la serie di omicidi iniziata durante una giornata di pioggia, quando un bambino, nel tentativo di recuperare la sua barchetta di carta, viene risucchiato all’interno di un tombino... finendo dritto tra le braccia di Pennywise il Clown.
