Bruce Randall Hornsby (born November 23, 1954) is an American singer and keyboardist.

Hornsby draws frequently from classical, jazz, bluegrass, folk, Motown, gospel, rock, blues, and jam band musical traditions.

Hornsby's recordings have been recognized on a number of occasions with industry awards, including the 1987 Grammy Award for Best New Artist with Bruce Hornsby and the Range, the 1990 Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album, and the 1994 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance.

Hornsby has also achieved recognition for his solo albums and performances, his touring band Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers, his bluegrass project with Ricky Skaggs and his appearances as a session and guest musician. He also collaborated with Grateful Dead and was an unofficial member of the band from September 1990 to March 1992, playing over 100 shows during that period.

Il caposquadra Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson), impegnato ad addestrare le giovani reclute, tra cui il nuotatore medagliato Matt Brody (Zac Efron) e la razionale Summer Quinn (Alexandra Daddario), trascina gli aspiranti bagnini in una lunga serie di folli indagini, che alla fine porteranno a Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra), proprietaria dell'esclusivo Huntley Club, sospettata di usare la sua attività come copertura per traffici di droga e omicidi. A Milano una banda di giovinastri organizza una rapina spettacolare. Introdottisi dal piano superiore in un banca, mentre la polizia circonda l'edificio, i rapinatori riescono a fuggire dal tetto dove li aspetta un elicottero. Successivamente, travestiti da frati, salgono su di un'automobile e raggiungono un convento abbandonato. Qui, poco dopo giungono altri frati, questa volta autentici. Sorgono le prime difficoltà ed i primi dissensi tra gli stessi rapinatori, che culminano in una lotta finale con la polizia. Insieme ad altri viene ucciso anche il capobanda, il quale però nell'ultima sequenza, fa sapere al pubblico che tutto il film non è altro che finzione e scherzo.

Introduced from the top floor to a bank, while the police surround the building, the robbers escape from the roof where a helicopter awaits them. Subsequently, disguised as friars, they climb up a car and reach an abandoned convent. Here, soon after, other friars come, this time authentic. The first difficulties arise and the first disagreements among the same robbers, which culminate in a final fight with the police. Along with others, the capobanda is also killed, but in the last sequence, he tells the public that the whole film is nothing but fiction and joke.

Luke Wright è un ex agente speciale della NYPD che per mantenere la famiglia partecipa a incontri di arti marziali miste di seconda categoria. Chiamato a prender parte a un combattimento truccato, Luke si rifiuta di rispettare gli ordini che gli vengono impartiti, scontrandosi con un potente boss della mafia russa che, per vendetta, gli uccide la moglie e lo costringe a una vita solitaria e in fuga. Luke inizia così a vivere senza fissa dimora nascondendosi fra i barboni delle strade newyorkesi. Nel frattempo però, una bambina cinese dotata di capacità intellettive particolari, Mei, viene ingannata e rapita dalla mafia cinese che vuole sfruttare le doti matematiche della bambina per gestire conti e operazioni senza destare sospetti e lasciare tracce alle famiglie nemiche, cosa che avverrebbe utilizzando i computer. Anche la mafia russa scopre le doti della ragazzina e fa di tutto per uccidere i cinesi e rapire Mei, che tuttavia riesce a scappare per poi venire salvata da Luke, a cui Mei involontariamente ha impedito di togliersi la vita. L'ex agente fa di tutto per proteggerla, arrivando a dare ad Alex Rosen, suo rivale, centinaia di migliaia di dollari purché gli riconsegni la ragazzina salva. Alla fine Luke ed Alex si confrontano in un feroce e cruento scontro, ma Mei spara ad Alex bloccando il combattimento fra i due e consentendo a Luke di avere la meglio. Luke riesce quindi ad ucciderlo e può finalmente scappare con la bambina in un luogo sicuro dove nessuno potrà più trovarli.

The numerous McCallister family, of which Kevin is the last scummer, leaves Chicago for Miami where the Christmas holidays will pass. This time the boy is not "forgotten" at home, but in our general bailhey, he lands in New York and he is left alone. As alarming parents contact the police for research, Kevin, however, does not get dismayed and starts his adventurous holidays from "no casual family". To start booking a luxurious room at the Plaza Hotel (where she has seen the restaurant) at her father's name, she settles down, grants succulent breakfasts, goes in the fight with Hector, the porter (who sniffed something unclear) and strolls through the streets of New York, among giant Christmas trees and illuminated showcases. Joe Thanks, simpatico vagabondo mezzo poeta e mezzo mago ma, soprattutto, furbo di tre cotte, convince due imbroglioncelli, il mezzosangue Locomotiva Bill e la sua amica Lucy, a organizzare una truffa ai danni del maggiore Cabot per carpirgli trecentomila dollari che l'ufficiale si è tenuti per sé invece di versarli agli indiani cui erano destinati. Il piano, alquanto tortuoso, prevede innanzitutto che Bill si presenti a Cabot travestito da colonnello; poi, che il maggiore lo smascheri, ma decida di servirsene per strappare agli indiani, in cambio di buona terra da pascolo, una presunta miniera d'oro (una truffa nella truffa, della quale Cabot è facile vittima); che, infine, il povero maggiore, convinto di tendere a sua volta un tranello a Joe, carichi il denaro su una diligenza cui Thanks darà l'assalto. Malgrado alcune complicazioni, che Thanks supera con la consueta abilità, il denaro arriva finalmente nelle sue mani, ma per passare subito dopo in quelle degli indiani. Rassegnatosi all'imprevista conclusione di tante fatiche, Locomotiva Bill partirà con Lucy per andare a vivere coi pellirosse.

Joe Thanks, a cute midseed and half-witch vagabond but, above all, a three-cooked cookie, convinces two crickets, the Half-Blood Locomotive Bill and her friend Lucy, to arrange a scam to Major Cabot's damage to give him three hundred thousand dollars it was held for itself instead of pouring them to the Indians they were destined for. The plan, somewhat tortuous, foresees first that Bill comes to Cabot disguised as Colonel; then the Major blows it out, but decides to use it to rip the Indians in exchange for good land for grazing, a presumed gold mine (a scam in the scam which Cabot is an easy victim); that, finally, the poor bigger, convinced of tending in turn a snare to Joe, to spend the money on a diligence that Thanks will give the assault. Despite some of the complications that Thanks overcomes with the usual ability, money eventually comes to his hands, but to go immediately in the Indians. Resigning to the unexpected conclusion of so many efforts, Locomotive Bill will leave with Lucy to go live with the pellirosse.

Il giovane Franco, detto "Fico d'India", va dalla Sicilia a Roma per partecipare ad un concorso di karatè, il cui vincitore sarà assunto come vigilie urbano della capitale. A Roma, egli scrive alla scuola del maestro Kon Chi Lay, che ha un temibile rivale nel collega Lo Con The. Per contrastare le prepotenze di costui, che si serve di tre samurai, Kon Chi Lay addestra Franco in una antica tecnica di lotta. I risultati sono scarsi, ma Franco, sfidato da Lo Con The, riesce ugualmente, con un po' di fortuna, a farsi credere insuperabile. Sempre con l'aiuto della sorte, egli vince anche il concorso di karatè, sconfiggendo il campione di Lo Con The, e ottiene il posto di vigile urbano.

Young Franco, known as "Fico d'India", goes from Sicily to Rome to participate in a karate contest, whose winner will be hired as the city's capital's vigilant. In Rome, he writes at the school of the master Kon Chi Lay, who has a ruthless rival in colleague Lo Con The. To counter the forsakenness of this one who uses three samurai, Kon Chi Lay trains Franco in an old fighting technique. The results are scarce, but Franco, challenged by Lo Con The, also succeeds in making some unbelievable beliefs with a bit of luck. Always with the help of fate, he also wins the karate contest, defeating Lo Con The champion, and gets the spotlight on the city.

Nel paesino di Assola, letteralmente diviso a metà dal confine italo-francese, vivono il contrabbandiere napoletano Giuseppe La Paglia ed il doganiere francese Ferdinand Pastorelli. Nel giorno della festa cittadina della parte francese, Ferdinand arresta Giuseppe arrivando però tardi alla tradizionale parata in cui avrebbe dovuto portare la bandiera francese. Durante il successivo ricevimento all'albergo delle 2 frontiere, anch'esso diviso a metà dal confine, Giuseppe scopre che Ferdinand è nato da padre ignoto e da madre italiana nella cucina del ristorante che si trova nella parte italiana dell'albergo, per cui, seppur registrato al ministero francese, il doganiere, in realtà, è italiano e pertanto non ha diritto ad esercitare la professione. Da una successiva verifica presso il comune di Assola, Ferdinand scopre che chi ne registrò la nascita anni prima, Gaspar Donnadiè, proprietario dell'albergo delle due frontiere, sbagliò a registrarlo lì, in quanto doveva farlo al municipio italiano. Lo stesso Donaddiè rivela a Ferdinand che andò al municipio francese perché quel giorno pioveva a dirotto ed era più vicino rispetto a quello italiano.
Rischiando di perdere il lavoro, Ferdinand chiede aiuto proprio a Giuseppe che lo accompagna a Cuneo per richiedere la carta d'identità italiana per poi successivamente chiedere la cittadinanza francese, ma secondo un onorevole amico del suocero, l'essere divenuto cittadino italiano a tutti gli effetti gli impedirà di ottenere la cittadinanza francese ed inoltre, essendo egli divorziato, il suo secondo matrimonio non sarà più valido e suo figlio, avuto dall'attuale consorte Hélène, dichiarato di padre ignoto. Come se non bastasse, Ferdinand viene posto in stato di fermo dai carabinieri assieme alla prima moglie Antoinette, ora sposata con Giuseppe, perché per la legge italiana, che all'epoca non prevedeva il divorzio, risultano come ancora sposati e Antoinette è pertanto bigama; chiarita la situazione, Antoinette viene rilasciata mentre Ferdinand è trattenuto perché, avendo combattuto durante la guerra per i francesi, anziché per gli italiani, risulta un disertore; tornato in camera di sicurezza vi trova Giuseppe che si era fatto arrestare per non lasciare la moglie da sola con l'ex-marito. Ferdinand, punto nell'orgoglio nel sentirsi chiamare disertore, tenta il suicidio, ma viene convinto a desistere da Giuseppe e liberato dal maresciallo dei carabinieri che, riesaminando la pratica, ha scoperto che Ferdinand non è più un disertore ma ha solo perso ogni diritto ad essere cittadino italiano.
Ricondotto al confine per essere rimandato in Francia, in quanto non italiano, viene però bloccato dal capo della gendarmerie perché è senza documenti e, perciò, non può farlo rientrare in Francia. Ferdinand si trova così ad essere diventato un senza patria.
Esasperato da tutta questa vicenda fugge sulle montagne armato del suo fucile da tiratore scelto e medita la sua vendetta contro tutti, avvisando però Giuseppe con una lettera: se non gli porterà dei viveri inserirà pure lui nella lista dei colpevoli! Giuseppe decide di assecondare Ferdinand e chiede i viveri a Donaddiè, ma scopre sull'etichetta di alcune vecchie bottiglie di vino che la frontiera anni prima tagliava in due l'albergo in modo diverso, la cucina era in Francia e non Italia quindi Ferdinand è cittadino francese; Donaddiè, infatti, confessa di aver spostato il confine dai bagni alla cucina, per attirare i clienti; chiarito l'equivoco Giuseppe, i carabinieri e la gendarmerie si recano sulle montagne a comunicare la notizia a Ferdinand il quale vedendo Giuseppe insieme al maresciallo dei carabinieri e al capo della gendamerie crede che l'amico l'abbia tradito e gli spara; fortunatamente il colpo centra la bottiglia di vino che Giuseppe aveva addosso e non lo ferisce. Finalmente, Ferdinand viene informato della verità e può tornare al suo lavoro di doganiere e ai soliti tran tran con Giuseppe che cerca di eluderne il controllo.

In the village of Assola, literally divided halfway between the Italian-French border, live Neapolitan smuggler Giuseppe La Paglia and French customs officer Ferdinand Pastorelli. On the day of the party of the French party, Ferdinand arrests Joseph but arrives late in the traditional parade where he should have brought the French flag. From a subsequent checkpoint at the town of Assola, Ferdinand discovers that those who registered her birth years ago, Gaspar Donnadiè, the owner of the hotel on the two frontiers, failed to register there because he had to do so at the Italian town hall. Donaddy himself reveals to Ferdinand that he went to the French town hall because he was raining that day and was closer to the Italian one.
With the risk of losing the job, Ferdinand asks Giuseppe to help him in Cuneo to apply for the Italian identity card, then to apply for French citizenship, but according to a honorable friend of the father-in-law, becoming Italian citizen at all it will prevent him from obtaining French citizenship and, moreover, as he is divorced, his second marriage will no longer be valid and his son, from his present spouse Hélène, declared to be an unknown father. As if that was not enough, Ferdinand was put to a stand by the carabinieri along with his first wife Antoinette, now married to Joseph, because for Italian law, which at the time did not foresee divorce, they are still married and Antoinette is therefore bigama; clarified the situation, Antoinette is released while Ferdinand is detained because, having fought during the war for the French, instead of for the Italians, it is a deserter; back in the security room finds Giuseppe who had been arrested for not leaving his wife alone with the ex-husband. Ferdinand, in the pretext of being called a desert, tries suicide but is persuaded to desist from Joseph and freed from the marshal of the carabinieri who, by reviewing the practice, discovered that Ferdinand is no longer a deserter but has only lost all right to be an Italian citizen.
He was sent to the border to be sent back to France, because he is not Italian, but is blocked by the head of the gendarmerie because he is undocumented and, therefore, can not return to France. Ferdinand is thus becoming a homeless.
Exasperated by all this, he flees on the armed mountains of his shotgun and ponders his revenge against all, but warns Joseph with a letter: if he does not bring him some food, he will put him in the list of the culprits! Giuseppe decides to support Ferdinand and asks for food in Donadde, but finds out on the label of some old wine bottles that the frontier had cut the hotel in a different way two years ago, the kitchen was in France and not Italy so Ferdinand is a citizen French; Donaddiè, in fact, confesses that he has moved the border from the bathrooms to the kitchen to attract customers; clarified the equivocation Giuseppe, the carabinieri and the gendarmerie go to the mountains to communicate the news to Ferdinand, who seeing Giuseppe together with the marshal of the carabinieri and the chief of the gendarmerie believes that his friend has betrayed him and shoots them; Luckily the blow centered on the bottle of wine that Joseph was wearing and did not injure him. Finally, Ferdinand is informed of the truth and can return to his duty as a customs officer and to the usual trances with Joseph trying to escape his control.

Secondo le credenze di una setta esoterica orientale, ogni mille generazioni nasce sulla terra un bambino dotato di magici poteri capaci di portare la pace e l'armonia nel mondo. Le forze del male, capeggiate da Sardo Numspa, però sono sempre in agguato e, venute a sapere dell'esistenza del piccolo, lo rapiscono col proposito di eliminarlo al più presto. Per liberarlo i rappresentanti della setta si rivolgono allora a Chandler Jarrell, che nella California meridionale si occupa di bambini scomparsi ed è quindi la persona giusta, l'Eletto per il difficile compito. Dapprima scettico, Chandler si lascia poi coinvolgere nell'impresa, anche perché a supplicarlo è la bella Kee Nang che lo guida in ambienti, atmosfere, situazioni a lui ignote. Chandler va così incontro a mirabolanti avventure, quali il recupero di un sacro pugnale, che finiscono per condurlo nel freddo e misterioso Tibet. Nello scontro finale il "Diavolo", in un estremo tentativo di far prevalere il Male, si trasforma in mostro ma viene inesorabilmente sconfitto. Compiuta la missione e liberato il bambino, Chandler e Kee rimangono insieme in California.

According to the beliefs of an oriental esoteric sect, every thousand generations born on earth a child with magical powers capable of bringing peace and harmony to the world. The forces of evil, headed by Sardo Numspa, however, are always lurking and, knowing the existence of the little one, raped him with the intention of eliminating it as soon as possible. To free him, the representatives of the sect then turn to Chandler Jarrell, who in southern California deals with missing children and is therefore the right person, the Elector for the tough task. At first skeptical, Chandler then gets involved in the business, too, to plead with him the beautiful Kee Nang who drives him in environments, atmospheres, situations unknown to him. Chandler goes on to miraculous adventures, such as the recovery of a sacred dagger, which end up leading him to the cold and mysterious Tibet. In the final confrontation, the "Devil", in an extreme attempt to overcome evil, becomes a monster but is inexorably defeated. Having completed the mission and released the baby, Chandler and Kee remain together in California.

Il capitano Black, associato ad una avventuriero spagnolo, ottiene dal viceré di Spagna nei Caraibi un cospicuo riscatto per la moglie di questi Isabella che, fatta prigioniera da altri pirati è stata acquistata dal corsaro a un'asta di schiavi. Caduto nelle mani del viceré, Black viene liberato dai suoi compagni di ventura insieme ai quali decide di impadronirsi di un carico d'oro diretto in Spagna. Riuscito ad avere la meglio sui pirati concorrenti e a sventare i tranelli del viceré, il corsaro si getta con i suoi uomini all'arrembaggio della nave che trasporta l'oro e ne annienta l'equipaggio, concludendo l'impresa con l'uccisione, in duello, dello stesso viceré. Insensibile alle lusinghe di Isabella, che gli prospetta una felice vita in Spagna come suo consorte, capitan Black riprende la via dei mari, verso nuove avventure.

Captain Black, associated with a Spanish adventurer, obtains from the viceroy of Spain in the Caribbean a cautious ransom for the wife of these Isabella who, taken prisoner by other pirates, was bought by the bearer at a slave auction. Fallen into the hands of the viceroy, Black is released from his fellow comrades, along with whom he decides to take over a direct cargo in Spain. Having managed to get the best on competing pirates and to steal the viceroy traps, the bearer throws with his men at the ship's ship carrying the gold and destroys the crew, ending the enterprise with killing, in duel, the viceroy himself. Inspired by Isabella's flattery, who is looking forward to a happy life in Spain as her spouse, Captain Black resumes the way of the seas to new adventures.

Ghost in the Shell è un film del 2017 diretto da Rupert Sanders. Adattamento cinematografico dell'omonimo manga del 1989 di Masamune Shirow, fanno parte del cast Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbæk, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche e Michael Pitt.

Il Maggiore Mira Killian è un cyborg a capo della sezione di Sicurezza Pubblica numero 9, un'organizzazione antiterrorismo cibernetico gestita dalla Hanka Robotics. Vittima di un terribile incidente, è stata salvata dalla morte e trasformata in un soldato perfetto tramite una modificazione cibernetica, di cui è stata responsabile la dott.ssa Ouelet, una delle principali scienziate della Hanka Robotics.

Tra i compiti assegnati alla sezione di Sicurezza Pubblica numero 9 c'è quello di trovare e terminare Kuze, la mente criminale che si cela dietro ad un audace attacco effettuato contro un alto dirigente della Hanka Corporation. Grazie alle sue capacità fuori dal comune, Mira è l'unica in grado di scovare e affrontare la nuova minaccia, ossia un nemico capace di insinuarsi nella mente cibernetica fino ad assumerne il completo controllo...
