Due to a political conspiracy, an innocent man is sent to death row and his only hope is his brother, who makes it his mission to deliberately get himself sent to the same prison in order to break the both of them out, from the inside.

Lino Settembre e sua moglie Chicca conducono una vita coniugale serena e senza serie difficoltà. Sono entrambi soddisfatti delle loro professioni, lui prima firma alla redazione sportiva del Messaggero e lei docente di Filologia Medievale all'Università Gregoriana. L'unico vero dispiacere che ha accompagnato i venticinque anni di matrimonio è la mancanza di figli. Una mancanza che non ha compromesso la loro unione ma l'ha al contrario rinsaldata. L'oggi però, in modo totalmente inatteso, presenta loro una grossa preoccupazione: Lino da qualche tempo accusa problemi di memoria che mano a mano si accentuano andando a compromettere in modo sempre più evidente il quotidiano svolgersi delle sue attività sia nell'ambito professionale che familiare. Dapprima sia lui che Chicca decidono di riderci sopra ma il disturbo si manifesta sempre più fino a quando, dopo attenti e approfonditi esami, un neurologo diagnostica una patologia degenerativa delle cellule cerebrali.

Nell'antichità Zeus creò l'uomo affinché rispettasse e pregasse gli dei; però Ares, figlio di Zeus e dio della guerra, instillò sentimenti negativi nell'umanità che avviarono conflitti e divisioni tra i popoli; per rimediare Zeus creò le Amazzoni, donne capaci di combattere ma anche di vivere pacificamente, e le mandò presso l'umanità per insegnare la pace e l'armonia. Ares fu talmente furioso che uccise gli altri dei; Zeus, rimasto solo, sconfisse alla fine il figlio ribelle, ma non poté ucciderlo; così lasciò alle Amazzoni due doni prima di morire: l'isola di Themyscira, dove le donne guerriere vivono in pace nascoste dal mondo e un'arma capace di uccidere Ares se e quando fosse mai tornato.

Da qualche parte nell'America del Sud il settantenne "Becchino" ha una memoria eccezionale. Ricorda però tutto a eccezione dei nomi. Sul punto di andare in pensione, è il responsabile dell'obitorio di un grande cimitero. La sua routine viene rotta il giorno in cui la milizia fa irruzione nella struttura per liberarsi dei cadaveri dei civili uccisi durante le manifestazioni antigovernative. Quando i militari vanno via, il Becchino trova il corpo dimenticato di una giovane sconosciuta. Sfiderà il pericolo e la burocrazia per darle una corretta sepoltura prima che torni la milizia.

Somewhere in South America, the seventy-year-old "Becchino" has an exceptional memory. But remember everything except the names. On retirement, he is responsible for the morgue of a large cemetery. His routine is broken on the day the militia breaks up in the facility to get rid of the corpses of civilians killed during anti-government demonstrations. When the soldiers leave, Becchino finds the forgotten body of a young stranger. It will challenge the danger and bureaucracy to give it a proper burial before the militia returns.

Todd Bowen, ragazzo americano di sedici anni studente alle scuole superiori, rimane particolarmente colpito quando, durante la lezione di storia, viene affrontato il tema dell'Olocausto. Spinto da una forte curiosità, Todd decide di approfondire per conto proprio lo studio di quel periodo. Dopo molti pomeriggi trascorsi in biblioteca, Todd inizia a notare più volte sull'autobus un uomo anziano in cui crede di riconoscere un ex ufficiale delle SS, visto in una foto. Dopo altre verifiche, ha la certezza che si tratta di Kurt Dussander, un criminale nazista immigrato illegalmente negli Stati Uniti e che da anni vive indisturbato sotto il falso nome di Arthur Denker. Facendosi coraggio, Todd lo avvicina, gli fa capire che conosce la sua vera identità e lo costringe, con il ricatto, a raccontare le atrocità commesse in passato, assicurandogli in cambio il silenzio sulla sua vera identità. Dussander accetta, poi a poco a poco, si insinua nella vita del ragazzo, ne conosce i genitori, ne condiziona la vita scolastica. Piu avanti Dussander, colpito da un infarto, viene ricoverato in ospedale. Qui prima un paziente e poi alcuni agenti federali ne accertano finalmente l'identità. Dussander verrà processato per i crimini commessi, ma Todd è pronto, da buon allievo, a mandare avanti la lezione del maestro.

Let's Get Lost (198

is an American documentary film about the turbulent life and career of jazz trumpeter Chet Baker written and directed by Bruce Weber. The title is derived from a song by Jimmy McHugh and Frank Loesser from the 1943 film Happy Go Lucky which Baker recorded for Pacific Records

A group of Baker fans, ranging from ex-associates to ex-wives and children, talk about the man. Weber’s film traces the man’s career from the 1950s, playing with jazz greats like Charlie Parker, Gerry Mulligan, and Russ Freeman, to the 1980s, when his heroin addiction and domestic indifference kept him in Europe. By juxtaposing these two decades, Weber presents a sharp contrast between the younger, handsome Baker — the statuesque idol who resembled a mix of James Dean and Jack Kerouac — to what he became, “a seamy looking drugstore cowboy-cum-derelict,” as J. Hoberman put it in his Village Voice review.

Let’s Get Lost begins near the end of Baker’s life, on the beaches of Santa Monica, and ends at the Cannes Film Festival. Weber uses these moments in the present as bookends to the historic footage contained in the bulk of the film. The documentation ranges from vintage photographs by William Claxton in 1953 to appearances on The Steve Allen Show and kitschy, low budget Italian films Baker did for quick money.

Let's Get Lost was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 1988.

The Expanse è una serie televisiva statunitense di fantascienza trasmessa dalla rete via cavo Syfy dal 14 dicembre 2015.

Si tratta di un adattamento dell'omonima serie letteraria, una space opera scritta da Daniel Abraham e Ty Franck sotto lo pseudonimo di James S. A. Corey.

Nel XXIII secolo, il sistema solare è stato colonizzato dagli umani e si trova una situazione di precario equilibrio geopolitico a causa delle tensioni fra la Terra e le ex-colonie marziane, oramai indipendenti sotto il vessillo della Repubblica congressionale marziana, e il degrado sociale in cui sopravvive gran parte della popolazione degli avamposti nella fascia principale degli asteroidi e i pianeti esterni.

In questo difficile contesto, si intrecciano le vicende del detective di polizia Josephus Miller, di stanza su Cerere, a cui viene affidata l'indagine sulla scomparsa di una donna terrestre, Julie Andromeda Mao, e il secondo ufficiale del cargo portaghiaccio Canterbury, James Holden, inavvertitamente coinvolto in un incidente che rischia di destabilizzare irreversibilmente le relazioni tra Marte e la Terra e innescare un conflitto interplanetario.

La serie ha debuttato il 14 dicembre 2015 sul canale Syfy. Il 31 dicembre 2015 è stata rinnovata per una seconda stagione da 13 episodi, che andrà in onda all'inizio del 2017. La serie è stata acquistata da Netflix per tutti i paesi al di fuori del Nord America e della Nuova Zelanda; la prima stagione è stata pubblicata internazionalmente il 3 novembre 2016.
