Così facendo recupera quello che forse è il tassello mancante nella ricostruzione delle origini di Jason Bourne, uomo trasformato in una sorta di macchina omicida in seguito a un esperimento della CIA. Nicky riesce a contattare Bourne, datosi alla macchia, e l'incontro tra i due attira subito le attenzioni dei vertici di Langley, determinati a eliminare entrambi.

Intanto la scena si sposta in una località nei pressi di Roma, dove l'ispettore di polizia Nico Girardi con la moglie sta costruendo una casetta definita abusiva dal vigile comunale mandato a controllare. Alla sera nel ristorante affollato un fotografo ritrae gli avventori, rilasciando uno scontrino; alla chiusura del locale Ciu Ci Ciao, il maître Vincenzo e Bombolo vedono che ad un tavolo è rimasto un cliente; quando si avvicinano però si accorgono che è morto. Spaventati, pensano di caricarlo sull'auto e, trovato in tasca l'indirizzo, lo portano nella sua abitazione in Viale Carso. La polizia inizia le indagini affidate all'ispettore Girardi, che ha una gamba ingessata.

Il commissario di polizia Nico Giraldi questa volta, dopo tante altre avventure nelle quali si era in passato dimostrato abile investigatore, si trova alle prese con un gruppetto ben organizzato di teppisti dell'autostrada, capeggiati dal loro boss che li ricompensa con grosse partite di droga per il sequestro e furto di TIR carichi di preziosa merce (medicinali), da trasportare da una città all'altra. I camionisti complici arricchiscono velocemente e permettono a Nico, resosi per l'occasione loro collega conducente di TIR, di smascherarli dopo lungo e paziente pedinamento. Il sagace commissario però è anche un uomo: marito innamorato ed affettuoso papà di famiglia. I lunghi viaggi lo metteranno a contatto con tipi di ogni genere, e anche con Anna, una fortunata cantante, della quale si invaghisce fino a concepire il disegno di abbandonare la sua famiglia per spartire con lei la sua sorte futura. Se non fosse per il casuale concorso nella sua liberazione dai loschi individui della strada, ché intanto l'avevano identificato, d'un innocente allenatore di boxe con relativi allievi, e per il provvidenziale richiamo alla realtà della famiglia da parte del figlioletto Rocki, Nico avrebbe seguito il richiamo della sirena Anna. Ma, come s'è detto, alla fine tutto si aggiusta per il meglio ...

La polizia di Milano scopre che la macchina era stata manomessa prima di immettersi in pista, e chiede collaborazione alla Questura Centrale di Roma, che affida le indagini all' ispettore Nico Giraldi, il quale ha un giovane cognato perdigiorno, che vive di espedienti. Nell'intento di trarlo fuori dalle misteriose complicazioni di un ennesimo furto d'auto, Nico viene sconsideratamente coinvolto in un secondo omicidio ed espulso dalla polizia. Deciso a spuntarla, prosegue da solo le indagini tra alterne vicende, cadute di tensione e rischi mortali. Salvato in extremis dall'imboscata di un killer che tenta di assassinarlo e proprio grazie a un intervento del cognato bighellone - ha finalmente la certezza di trovarsi sulla pista giusta, complice un mazzo di rose, posato da mani gentili sulla tomba del pilota di Formula Uno.

Oscar Pettinari è un bravo giovanottone, grosso e vociante quanto è semplice e mite. Suggestionato dalle immagini di Stallone e di Rambo, si è messo in testa di fare il cascatore. A capo di una banda di borgatari romani, tutti in sella alle loro amatissime moto, Oscar cerca di farsi un sia pur modesto nome nel mondo della celluloide. Ma il suo viso da "buono" è troppo in contrasto con i giubbotti tutti borchie e la benda nera sulla fronte. Mal consigliato da un azzeccagarbugli che circola nei viali di Cinecittà, Oscar si getta con la moto contro la Rolls Royce di un produttore americano, confidando in indennizzi e scritture. La macchina, però, è guidata da Nancy, la giovane diva del film in cantiere la quale, lievemente ferita al volto nell'incidente, perde il ruolo ed il contratto. Mentre il produttore parte per affari a Londra, Oscar ospita la donna nel suo modestissimo alloggio di periferia, la nutre e la assiste e lei, senza un soldo in tasca, spreca bigliettoni in telefonate oltre Oceano, cercando aiuto nell'intento di riprendere il lavoro. Ad Oscar premono invece i cinque milioni di indennizzo che, a dire dell'avvocato chiacchierone, il produttore dovrà pur dargli. Per raggiungere lo scopo desiderato, lo sfortunato Oscar dovrà incappare in varie avventure, impegnandosi in una spericolata gara motociclistica nella zona fluviale di Roma (la vincerà, ma sarà contestato e picchiato dalla cricca di Murena, il bullo perdente) e lottando contro le lusinghe ed i cavilli del produttore americano suddetto che, rientrato a Roma, sta per offrirgli un buon contratto. Ma, al momento della firma, l'onnipresente e frenetico avvocato piomba sul suo cliente e lo dissuade facendogli balenare il miraggio di ottenere ancora più quattrini, per lasciarlo infine più bastonato che mai. Lo stesso avvocato altri non è che un povero folle, del quale due vecchie sorelle ben conoscono le allucinazioni e le imprese sotto mentite spoglie (di volta in volta, egli è legale, veterinario, coreografo ed altro ancora). Intanto Nancy è raggiunta a Roma dal marito e ripartirà per gli Stati Uniti, dove l'aspettano la casa, una bambina e la rinuncia ai propri sogni di celebrità. Non restano al povero Oscar che il ricordo di quella graziosa aspirante-diva e la speranza che, finalmente, il cinema si accorga delle sue capacità di "stuntman" tutto fare. Di male, in ogni caso, se ne potrà fare un po' di meno poiché, per ascoltare quel matto di avvocato e rendere più pesante il conto da presentare al produttore americano, gli è stata pure asportata la milza...

Oscar Pettinari is a good young man, big and cheerful as it is simple and mild. Proposed by the images of Stallone and Rambo, he has been in the lead to make the cascade. At the head of a bunch of Roman townships, all riding on their beloved bikes, Oscar tries to make himself a modest name in the world of celluloid. But his "good" face is too much in contrast to the all-round jackets and the black bandage on the forehead. On the other hand, Oscar is paying the five million indemnities that, say the chancellor lawyer, the producer will still have to give it. In order to achieve the desired goal, the unlucky Oscar will have to take on various adventures, engaging in a reckless motorcycle race in the river area of ??Rome (he will win, but will be challenged and beaten by Murena's crack, the loser bully) and struggling against flattery and The hubby of the American producer who, returning to Rome, is about to offer him a good contract. But, at the time of signing, the ubiquitous and frantic lawyer plumbles on his client and discourages him by making him flinch the mirage of getting even more money, to leave him more than fooled. Carosello è stato un programma televisivo italiano andato in onda sul Programma Nazionale e poi sulla Rete 1 della Rai dal 3 febbraio 1957 al 1º gennaio 1977.

Veniva trasmesso quotidianamente dalle 20:50 alle 21:00, tranne il Venerdì santo e il 2 novembre. Per effetto dell'austerity, che spinse la Rai ad anticipare tutti i programmi della serata a partire dal Telegiornale, dal 2 dicembre 1973 fu trasmesso alle 20:30. Fu sospeso per una settimana tra il 31 maggio e il 6 giugno 1963 per l'agonia e la morte di papa Giovanni XXIII e per tre giorni dal 12 al 15 dicembre 1969, quando il Paese fu scosso dalla strage di piazza Fontana. Altre sospensioni più brevi si ebbero per la morte di papa Pio XII (9 ottobre - 11 ottobre 195

, per le uccisioni dei fratelli John (22 novembre 1963) e Robert Kennedy (5 giugno 196

nonché, a seguito di improrogabili collegamenti, per la prima trasmissione in Mondovisione, il 25 giugno 1967, e per l'ammaraggio della navicella spaziale Apollo 14, il 9 febbraio 1971.

In totale furono trasmessi 7.261 episodi.

Consisteva in una serie di filmati (spesso sketch comici sullo stile del teatro leggero o intermezzi musicali) seguiti da messaggi pubblicitari. Il rigido format di Carosello fu congegnato in maniera da funzionare impeccabilmente. Non subì interruzioni né errori per circa vent'anni: unica eccezione, gli eventi sopra menzionati e alcuni scioperi e agitazioni in seno alla RAI che alterarono (sia pure lievemente) la programmazione, ad esempio con l'avvio della sigla finale senza l'elencazione dei prodotti reclamizzati.

Carosello non era e non poteva essere solo un contenitore di messaggi pubblicitari: erano predeterminati il numero di secondi dedicati alla pubblicità, il numero di citazioni del nome del prodotto, il numero di secondi da dedicare allo "spettacolo", la cui trama doveva essere di per sé estranea al prodotto. Per una legge allora vigente non era concesso fare della pubblicità all'interno di alcuno spettacolo televisivo serale e nemmeno prima di un intervallo di novanta secondi dall'inizio del medesimo.

Alla realizzazione di Carosello parteciparono in veste di registi nomi illustri come Luciano Emmer (che ne è considerato l'inventore), Age & Scarpelli, Luigi Magni, Gillo Pontecorvo, Corrado Farina, Ermanno Olmi, Sergio Leone, Ugo Gregoretti, Valerio Zurlini, Pupi Avati, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Federico Fellini e l'americano Richard Lester.

Carosello was an Italian television program aired on the National Program and then on Rai 1 Network from 3 February 1957 to 1 January 1977.

It was broadcast daily from 20:50 to 21:00, except on Friday and November 2. As a result of the austerity, which prompted Rai to anticipate all the programs of the evening from the News, from December 2, 1973, it was broadcast at 20:30. It was suspended for a week between 31 May and 6 June 1963 for the agony and death of Pope John XXIII and for three days from 12 to 15 December 1969 when the country was shaken from the massacre of Fontana Square. It consisted of a series of movies (often comic sketches on the style of light theater or music interviews) followed by advertising messages. The rigid format of Carosello was designed to work impeccably. There were no interruptions or errors for about twenty years: the only exception, the above-mentioned events and some strikes and agitations within RAI that altered (even slightly) the programming, for example with the start of the ending without the listing of the advertised products.

Carosello was not and could not be just a container of advertising messages: the number of seconds advertised, the number of product name quotes, the number of seconds to dedicate to the "show" were predetermined, whose plot had to be for itself outside the product. For a law then in force, it was not allowed to make advertising within any nightly television show or even before a ninety-second interval from the beginning of the same.

Il vecchio e malandato sceicco Abdul ed-Karim è triste poiché, privo di eredi dovrà lasciare il suo Qumdar all'intrigante fratello Scioltan. Il fido consigliere Mahadi però, frugando in vecchie carte, scopre che a Roma, soggiornando presso il Grand Hotel lo sceicco ha avuto un figlio dalla cameriera Ines Pennacchioni: Luigi Abdulio. Della situazione intanto cercano di approfittare due società petrolifere rivali che, individuato il rampollo di Abdul, inviano rispettivamente Hamilton Bruger, con il compito di eliminarlo, e Rita Kolman con l'incarico di portarlo nel Qumdar. Luigi Abdulio, da anni in lotta per ottenere l'assegnazione di una pompa di benzina, si lascia convincere da Rita, benché riluttante. Il giovanotto giunto presso lo sceicco, viene fatto oggetto di numerosi attentati da parte degli emissari di Scioltan; ma ne esce indenne grazie a rocambolesche fughe. Quando però s'avvede che lo sceicco non sposerà mai la Pennacchioni, stanco di tante avventure, Luigi Abdulio se ne torna a Roma, pago detta ottenuta licenza per l'apertura di una stazione di servizio.

The old and shabby Sheikh Abdul ed-Karim is sad because, heirless, he must leave his Qumdar to the intriguing brother of Scioltan. Mahadi's adviser, however, rummaging in old papers, finds that in Rome, staying at the Grand Hotel sheik had a son from the maid Ines Pennacchioni: Luigi Abdulio. The situation in the meantime tries to take advantage of two rival oil companies who, having identified Abdul's scum, send Hamilton Bruger, respectively, with the task of eliminating him, and Rita Kolman in charge of taking him to Qumdar. Luigi Abdulio, for years struggling to get a gas pump, is convinced by Rita, though reluctant. The young man who came to the Sheikh is subjected to numerous attacks by the emissaries of Scioltan; But he goes out of the way thanks to a fleeting escape. But when he finds out that the sheikh will never marry the Pennacchioni, tired of so many adventures, Luigi Abdulio returns to Rome, I pay that license for the opening of a service station.
