The first season follows Carrie Mathison, a Central Intelligence Agency operations officer who,
after conducting an unauthorized operation in Iraq, is put on probation and reassigned to the CIA's Counterterrorism
Center in Langley, Virginia. In Iraq, Carrie was warned by an asset that an American prisoner of war had been turned by
al-Qaeda. Carrie has also been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, a fact that she conceals from the CIA. She
surreptitiously receives medication for the disorder from her sister.

Carrie's job grows complicated when her
boss, Director of the Counterterrorism Center David Estes, calls Carrie and her colleagues in for an emergency briefing.
Carrie learns that Nicholas Brody, a U.S. Marine Sergeant who had been reported as missing in action since 2003, has
been rescued during a Delta Force raid on a compound belonging to terrorist Abu Nazir. Carrie comes to believe that
Brody is the American prisoner of war whom her asset in Iraq was talking about.[14] However, the federal government and
her superiors at the CIA consider Brody a war hero. Later, another Marine captured at the same time, Tom Walker, is also
found to be still alive, casting doubt on which of the Marines is the suspected spy.

Realizing it would be
nearly impossible to convince her boss to place Brody under surveillance, Carrie approaches the only other person she
can trust, her mentor, Saul Berenson. The two must now work together to investigate Brody and prevent another terrorist
attack on American soil. Eventually, Brody plans to assassinate the Vice President with a suicide vest but falters at
the last moment after an emotional conversation with his daughter Dana. Carrie becomes more paranoid that Brody plans to
carry out a terroristic act.

Trama:
Twin Peaks, nota anche come Twin Peaks: The Return, è una serie televisiva statunitense del 2017 creata da Mark Frost e David Lynch. Si tratta di un sequel della serie televisiva I segreti di Twin Peaks, trasmessa tra il 1990 e il 1991 pertanto è stato fatto riferimento a essa anche come "terza stagione di Twin Peaks".
La serie è stata sviluppata e scritta da Frost e Lynch nel corso di diversi anni ed è diretta interamente da Lynch. Nel 1821 il conte Federico Confalonieri, con altri patrioti milanesi, sta preparando un'insurrezione nel Lombardo-Veneto. Il tentativo viene però scoperto e il conte, arrestato dalla polizia austriaca, viene interrogato per ottenere informazioni sui suoi rapporti con il Regno di Sardegna.

Per aggirare il silenzio ostinato del conte, il giudice istruttore Menghin si serve della moglie di Confalonieri, Teresa Casati, a cui racconta le numerose infedeltà del marito, in particolare la passione per la contessa Jablonowska, sperando così di ottenere notizie utili da una donna umiliata e desiderosa di vendetta. La contessa però non cede, ma al contrario, dopo la condanna a morte del marito, parte per Vienna per chiedere la grazia all'imperatrice.

I suoi sforzi vengono premiati e il conte Federico Confalonieri ha salva la vita e viene rinchiuso nella prigione dello Spielberg dove sconterà la pena dell'ergastolo, la moglie, invece, provata e sofferente, muore poco dopo pronunciando il nome dell'adorato marito.

One of the Boys è il secondo album in studio della cantante Katy Perry, registrato nel 2007 e pubblicato dall'etichetta discografica Capitol Records nel 2008.
L'album, messo in commercio negli Stati Uniti ed in Canada il 17 giugno 2008, contiene i singoli Ur So Gay e I Kissed a Girl, che nello stesso periodo ha raggiunto la prima posizione nella Billboard Hot 100, per 7 settimane consecutive. Altri singoli tratti dall'album sono Hot n Cold, Thinking of You e Waking Up in Vegas. L'album è stato promosso durante il suo tour mondiale, il Hello Katy Tour.
Fino al 2016, l'album ha venduto oltre 5 milioni di copie nel mondo
Accoglienza
L'album ricevette recensioni di vario tipo dalla critica musicale. Billboard scrisse: "Era dai tempi di Jagged Little Pill che un album di debutto non era così pieno di potenziali successi commerciali."
Blender commentò: "I versi creativi della Perry, ben assestati come pugni, non giustificano sempre la sua compiaciuta baldanza da drag-queen. Ma il suo cantato singhiozzante e la miriade di produttori blasonati (da Dr. Luke a Glen Ballard) sostengono quei sintetizzatori new wave".
Stephen Thomas Erlewine di AllMusic scrisse una recensione negativa, definendo One of the Boys "un grottesco compendio di tutti i deliranti eccessi del decennio".
Sal Cinquemani di Slant Magazine criticò la voce della Perry, così come la sua piatta personalità.
Alex Miller di NME sconsigliò a chiunque "abbia anche solo un remoto desiderio di gustarsi un buon disco" di acquistare quello della Perry.
Rossella Rambaldi di Musica & Dischi scrisse una recensione positiva di One of the Boys, assegnandogli tre stelle e mezza: "Non lasciamoci ingannare dalla scaltrezza di un progetto studiato freddamente a tavolino da un manipolo di esperti [...] con il mero intento di ricreare in laboratorio un prodotto geneticamente modificato capace di radunare in sé l'appeal di Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears e Gwen Stefani. Dietro a One of the Boys c'è infatti sostanza: Katy Perry ha grinta da vendere e voce, che un giorno (con le scelte giuste e un po' di fortuna) potrà prestarsi a lavori di maggiore spessore. Per ora la ricetta si limita a un rock-pop, danzereccio, modaiolo e graffiante; condito di testi volutamente scioccanti a ogni singolo fiato. [...] Un disco non originale, ma assai accattivante e ben prodotto".
