Trama

Nel febbraio del 1952 una violenta tempesta colpisce la petroliera SS Pendleton, che viene letteralmente spezzata a metà, intrappolando più di 30 marinai al suo interno. Spetta a Ray Sybert, l'ufficiale più anziano a bordo, prendere in pugno la situazione cercando di salvare il suo equipaggio. Nel frattempo la notizia giunge alla guardia costiera di Chatham, e viene immediatamente organizzata una missione per recuperare i sopravvissuti, guidata da Bernie Webber a bordo di una motovedetta CG 36500.

Trama :

Sconvolto dalla morte della moglie, Benjamin Mee decide di rivoluzionare la propria vita e quella dei figli, lasciando il (redditizio) lavoro di reporter e decidendo di cambiare casa. Ma c'è un problema: la casa "ideale" che lui sceglie si trova in un vecchio e decrepito zoo, completo di 200 animali esotici e "lontano 9 miglia dal negozio di alimentari più vicino". La casa, per contratto, può essere acquistata solo da un acquirente che prometta di mantenere attivo lo zoo. Nonostante i numerosi imprevisti...

Plot :

Recently widowed Benjamin (Ben) Mee (Matt Damon), still grieving his loss and dealing with school behavior issues and the expulsion of his 14-year-old son Dylan (Colin Ford), decides to get a fresh start by buying a new house. After touring many houses with his daughter Rosie (Maggie Elizabeth Jones) and his realtor, Mr. Stevens (JB Smoove), and finding none to his liking, his daughter finds a paper with what seems like his perfect house. They drive up to a beautiful old large house and Ben inspects the property, telling his realtor it's the perfect home. As he tries to explain that the situation is "complicated", they hear a lion roar outside. The realtor explains that the house comes with a zoo at the back and, if they want the house, they have to buy the zoo which closed to the public several years before.
Although reluctant to take on a zoo and all of its animals, he decides to give it a try when he sees how happy Rosie is playing with the peacocks. Dylan, however, hates the idea of moving away from his friends, retreating into his artwork which has grown more macabre since the death of his mother. Ben's brother Duncan (Thomas Haden Church) tries to dissuade him from purchasing the property, but Ben buys it anyway. The zoo staff, led by the 28-year old head keeper Kelly Foster (Scarlett Johansson), help Ben to start renovating the zoo with the intent to reopen it to the public. When Kelly confronts Ben about why he bought a zoo, knowing nothing about how to run one, Ben thinks about it and responds "Why not?"...

After he subsequently apologizes and tells her of his own feelings for her, she forgives him and they resume their friendship.

The man, who is an unreliable violent, will get a lot of enemies before he gets into the business. It will risk life many times, but will eventually eliminate the equally fierce components of the infamous band.

Sam si risveglia svenuto nell'Impala e, non vedendo suo fratello, inizia a cercarlo per poi trovarlo in un campo lì vicino. Dean rivela al fratello di aver avuto un colloquio con l'oscurità che ha preso apparentemente la forma di una donna in un abito nero; inoltre Dean aggiunge che lei lo ha ringraziato per averla liberarata. Durante la via del ritorno, i fratelli incontrano uno sceriffo di nome Jenna Nickerson ferita gravemente e la portano nell'ospedale più vicino dove avranno un primo assaggio dei poteri pericolosi dell'Oscurità: incontreranno infatti degli uomini nei quali viene alla luce la loro oscurità interiore, portandoli ad essere rabbiosi ed aggressivi. Durante la fuga i due fratelli si dividono: Dean dovrà proteggere e portare in salvo Jenna e una neonata, Amara; mentre Sam rimarrà in ospedale a combattere dove verrà ben presto infettato.

Dean e Jenna vanno dalla nonna di quest'ultima che, rendendosi conto che Amara può lievitare gli oggetti, chiama un esorcista: padre Crowley. Amara non è una bambina qualsiasi, infatti, Dean vede impresso sulla sua spalla il marchio di Caino. Amara succhia fuori l'anima di Jenna e lei diventa senza anima, come Sam era una volta. Dopo Crowley la uccide, ma Dean lo attacca poiché ha intenzione di prendere la bambina, ma quest'ultima rapidamente cresce ed uscirà dalla culla con le proprie gambe. In ospedale, Sam trova una cura per la malattia: il Fuoco Sacro. Sam e Dean alla fine si riuniscono e trovano Cas al bunker, ancora scosso dall'incantesimo di Rowena, mentre Crowley trova Amara e la porta all'Inferno, prendendosi cura di lei che lo chiamerà "zio Crowley".

Cyprien Méré è un ingegnere francese che visita il Sudafrica per studiare i diamanti e la loro formazione.

Durante la sua permanenza si innamora perdutamente, ricambiato, di Alice Watkins, figlia di John Watkins - uno dei più importanti proprietari della zona. Cyprien però non riesce ad ottenere il permesso di sposarla per via della sua povertà e della mancanza di una posizione importante all'interno della società. Cyprien decide di mettersi in società con l'amico Thomas Steel per aprire un'impresa mineraria assumendo mano d'opera locale. Tuttavia la loro impresa fallisce perché la miniera crolla causando alcuni morti, ma Cyprien riesce a salvare la vita ad uno dei lavoratori, di nome Matakit.

Alice convince Cyprien a riprendere i suoi studi, e il francese, assistito da Matakit, al termine di un lungo studio riesce a concepire un procedimento in grado di produrre diamanti sintetici. Dopo aver prodotto un gigantesco diamante artificiale, battezzato "Stella del Sud" da 243 carati (48.6 grammi) torna da John Watkins offrendoglielo per avere la mano della figlia. John acconsente e organizza un grande banchetto. Durante il banchetto, il diamante scompare. Anche Matakit non si trova più. Tutti credono che l'africano sia fuggito con il diamante.

John offre la mano di sua figlia a chiunque sia in grado di riportare il diamante. Ovviamente Cyprien partecipa e dà la caccia a Matakit, ma dopo averlo trovato scopre che questi non aveva rubato il diamante che invece era stato mangiato da Dada, lo struzzo di Alice. Temendo di non essere creduto e di essere accusato Matakit aveva deciso di fuggire ugualmente.

Ma le vicende del gigantesco diamante non sono finite. Dopo essere stato recuperato, Cyprien è messo sotto accusa perché la produzione artificiale di diamanti è una minaccia per l'attività mineraria. Matakit dichiara di aver trovato il diamante nella frana e di averlo inserito nell'esperimento di Cyprien. Cyprien è scioccato. Infine la Stella del Sud si disintegra. Alla fine di questi e altri fatti, Cyprien e Alice si sposano e hanno una lunga vita fe



Fortune hunter Dan Rockland (George Segal) comes to West Africa pretending to be a geologist. He is actually employed by Kramer (Harry Andrews), whose business is diamonds, and when Kramer's workers discover a huge uncut gem, Rockland is sent to retrieve it.

He and his African guide Matakit (Johnny Sekka) have opposition to contend with, first from Capt. Karl Ludwig (Ian Hendry), who is Kramer's security chief, and another is the diabolical Plankett (Orson Welles), who resents Rockland's interest in a woman named Erica (Ursula Andress).

The jewel is brought to Kramer and named The Southern Star, but at a party to celebrate the find, a power blackout leads to chaos. The diamond is gone. Matakit flees on a pet ostrich. Rockland sets out after him, with Erica coming along. Ludwig and his thugs are also in hot pursuit.

Plankett gets to Matakit first and takes him prisoner, setting a trap that leads to a shootout. In the end, just when it appears the diamond is safe, more ostriches show up and one of them just might have it.

After her mother is kidnapped, Clary must venture into the dark world of demon hunting.

Clary Fray è una ragazza perfettamente normale: studentessa alla Brooklyn Academy of Art, vive con la madre Jocelyn nel loro umile appartamento di New York e passa le sue giornate tra l'arte e il migliore amico Simon Lewis. Il giorno del suo diciottesimo compleanno, però, Clary passa la serata al Pandemonium Club, dove assiste a un omicidio che nessun altro - eccetto lei - riesce a vedere. Quando torna a casa, viene attaccata da un demone, ma il ragazzo che aveva visto poco prima al Club, Jace Wayland, la salva. Jace è uno Shadowhunter, metà umano e metà angelo che protegge i Mondani (persone appartenenti al mondo degli umani) dai demoni, e, quando si scopre che anche Clary è una di loro, Jace, insieme ai compagni cacciatori Isabelle e Alec, l'aiuta a scoprire se stessa. Clary deve comprende il prima possibile il potenziale che c'è in lei per poter sconfiggere Valentine Morgenstern, l'uomo più ricercato nel mondo degli Shadowhunter e dei Nascosti, che fino a poco tempo prima si credeva morto ma che ora vuole ottenere la Coppa Mortale, uno strumento che gli permetterà di creare nuovi Shadowhunters che lo aiuteranno a sterminare i Nascosti.

A teenage girl, from Mystic Fall, is torn between two vampire brothers, who are quite the opposite.

La storia continua con una nuovissima stagione con ben 16 episodi. La serie è sempre prodotta da Kevin Williamson e Julie Plec e trae ispirazione dalla saga di libri della scrittrice Lisa James Smith, dal titolo italiano 'Il diario del Vampiro'.

In Virginia, a Mystic Falls, ha luogo l'ormai noto triangolo amoroso tra la studentessa Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) e i due fratelli-vampiri Stefan (Paul Wesley) e Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder).
Stefan è un vampiro dal 1864, si ciba di sangue animale ed è tormentato dalla presenza del fratello Damon che, a differenza sua, si ciba di esseri umani. I due sono diventati vampiri a causa della stessa donna, della quale erano innamorati: Katherine Pierce, doppleganger di Elena. Così, ironia della sorte, i due fratelli si innamorano anche della studentessa ed entrano a far parte della sua vita e di quella dei suoi amici, che saranno quindi coinvolti nelle misteriose vicende che aleggiano a Mystic Falls.

Nella scorsa stagione avevamo visto situazioni difficili, come dimenticare la disperazione di Damon ed i tentativi di Bonnie (Katerina Graham) per consolarlo, instaurando con lui una forte e solida amicizia, e, nel mentre, Caroline (Candice King) e Stefan provare ad amarsi davvero, pur con i tanti ostacoli. In questi nuovi episodi non mancheranno i colpi di scena, i problemi, le trasformazioni e, forse, quale ricomparsa inaspettata!

Il finale di stagione vi lascerà senza parole, dall'incredibile ruolo che avrà Elena, all'inaspettata morte di uno degli altri personaggi ...
Stefan subirà un'importante trasformazione e anche per Caroline le cose non saranno semplici!

This collection is wonderful. A live concert recording gives a better appreciation of the artist than in a studio in my opinion and Julio Iglesias definitely knows how to do it very well.
I like the variety of songs in the album which includes a medley of international well known compositions sang in Spanish--with Mariachis too--, French, Italian, English, and the interaction with the audience gives a warm touch.
The sound quality is excellent.
