Rapisce Suzan, figlia di Sam; questi si mette in caccia con i suoi uomini, ma finisce per rimanere solo con il fidanzato di Suzan, Hal. Saranno loro due a scontrarsi con Zach e la sua banda; Sam muore ma Hal uccide Zach e libera la ragazza. La grande era del western sta per chiudersi e si vede. Nonostante le intenzioni "epiche" il racconto soffre di una sceneggiatura con poco fiato; la regia è convenzionale nonostante gli ammiccamenti alla Peckinpah; il cast, però, è di un certo richiamo.[/color]

Introduzione:

Death Parade (??????? Desu Par?do?) è una serie televisiva anime ideata, scritta e diretta da Yuzuru Tachikawa. Prodotta dalla Madhouse, è stata trasmessa in Giappone tra il 9 gennaio e il 27 marzo 2015. La serie deriva da un cortometraggio dal titolo Death Billiards (???????? Desu Biriy?do?), sempre prodotto dalla Madhouse per l'Anime Mirai 2013. In Italia i diritti di entrambe le opere sono stati acquistati dalla Dynit.

Death Parade è un curioso lavoro che sfrutta un universo di fantasia per stimolare la riflessione dello spettatore su tematiche quali la vita, la morte, le emozioni. Le prime dieci puntate contribuiscono all’immersione nell’ambientazione e alla presentazione dei personaggi principali, fornendo spunti interessanti per gli amanti delle elucubrazioni mentali e al contempo caricandosi di drammaticità e mistero, elementi che esploderanno in un vortice di sentimenti negli ultimi due episodi, innalzando il livello qualitativo dell’anime.
Si tratta di un anime interessante e originale, con una trama e un finale degni di nota che potenzialmente faranno commuovere gli spettatori più emotivi.

Trama:

Quando due esseri umani muoiono negli stessi attimi, vengono sottoposti ad un giudizio che li condurrà alla reincarnazione o al vuoto eterno. Il giudice è proprio il protagonista, Decim, che nel suo bar, il Quindecim, obbliga gli avventori a partecipare al Death Game....

Il giovane Jim Halsey sta portando una Cadillac Seville del '75 da Chicago a San Diego, dove deve consegnarla al proprietario che ne ha richiesto il trasporto. Dopo la tempesta di Tangentopoli, in Italia arrivò anche l’anno delle stragi.
1993 è il sequel di 1992, la serie tv ideata da Stefano Accorsi, sempre dietro la regia di Giuseppe Gagliardi e andrà in onda dal 16 maggio in prima assoluta su Sky Atlantic...un pò prima qui su ICV  siamo_migliori
Il successo ottenuto lo scorso anno, accompagnato da una distribuzione in 100 paesi, ci fa pensare ad un’auspicabile conferma anche per questo nuovo impeccabile ritratto di storia italiana.
Otto sono gli episodi, sei i principali personaggi di 1993.
Le vicende di ognuno di loro si amalgamano alla tormentosa storia italiana di quell’anno, tra le ceneri ancora incandescenti dello scandalo di Tangentopoli, la corruzione dilagante di una politica ormai smascherata e la condanna ad una mafia inestirpabile.
I protagonisti, ognuno a suo modo e con i propri obiettivi, cercano di affermare se stessi: chi tramite il potere, chi tramite l’annientamento di esso, facendo i conti con il vortice di terrore e sconforto che ha assalito l’Italia di quegli anni.
È storia passata che si intreccia al presente e che permette una visuale d’insieme di uno spaccato del nostro Paese.
Ed è proprio di orgoglio italiano l’originale, storicamente (e culturalmente) rilevante romanzo in serie, che narra il preludio e lo sviluppo della Seconda Repubblica.
Stefano Accorsi è Leonardo Notte, bisognoso di rivincita e riscatto: spera che la vicinanza a Silvio Berlusconi gli possa spianare la strada verso il successo.
Guido Caprino è Pietro Bosco, in bilico tra una vita amorosa tormentata, al limite dell’ossessione verso la donna che ha perso e la carriera politica: verrà coinvolto in un gioco d’astuzie che diventerà per lui una dipendenza.
Domenico Diele, interpretato da Luca Pastore, è il poliziotto di Mani Pulite e guarda al 1993 come alla svolta di giustizia in cui crede e spera da tempo; ad accompagnarlo nel duro lavoro e nella speranza c’è il collega Antonio Di Pietro, interpretato da Antonio Gerardi.
La bella ex Miss Italia Miriam Leone è Veronica Castello: nonostante la sua carriera televisiva sia ormai decollata, le sue vicissitudini amorose le danno motivo di mettere in discussione ogni sua scelta di vita, in fin dei conti instabile e precaria.
Tea Falco interpreta Bibi Mainaghi, donna di potere, forte e risoluta; le fondamenta del Sistema su cui si è sempre adagiata saldamente, sopperendo alla mancanza di affetti che le appartiene, stanno vacillando e lei con esse, smuovendo nel suo animo dubbi e nuovi propositi.
Ma in 1993 sono tanti i personaggi ad entrare in scena, tra cui Vinicio Marchioni nel ruolo del leader della sinistra Massimo D’Alema.
1993 è il risultato di una lente attenta che osserva da tanti punti di vista le mille sfaccettature di un anno che ha segnato un’epoca: un’epoca densa del fumo irrespirabile della vendetta, del riscatto, della paura e della bramosia arrivista. 1993 è tutto questo: la perfetta rappresentazione del caos più totale e del mistero irrisolto.

L'Opéra National de Paris' production of L'Amour des Trois Oranges must certainly be one of the most elaborate operatic presentations. It has a cast of gazillions, characters who fly, jugglers, fire-eaters, remarkably elaborate costumes, amazingly realistic props (those five-foot oranges are convincingly juicy and edible looking), a huge set, fireworks, and so on. In fact, at times, it looks more like a Cirque de Soleil show than something you'd see in an opera house. It's such a dazzling spectacle that even people who aren't much interested in Prokofiev's opera would probably be drawn in. The all-stops-pulled-out approach fits the piece very well -- it's easily the most surreal opera anywhere near the standard repertoire. Carlo Gozzi, the eighteenth century playwright whose work was also the source for Turandot, wrote his play using the conventions of commedia dell'arte, but pushed them to new heights of absurdity in reaction to the more sophisticated plays of Goldoni. The opera has so many moments of transcendent silliness that it's hard not to laugh out loud. The curse the evil enchantress lays on the Prince is not the standard "You will sleep for 40 years!" or "You will never escape me unless you climb through a forest of thorns!" but "You will fall in love with three oranges!" And it's just sublimely odd when the Cook guarding the oranges (a basso profundo, who in this production is 12 feet tall with forearms like hams, bearded and bosomy, and extremely butch) becomes so enthralled with a little pink ribbon that the Prince is able to snatch away his beloved fruit from under his/her nose. Director Gilbert Deflo's conception and William Orlandi's costumes and sets are rooted in commedia dell'arte, but the production is thoroughly eclectic, with allusions to a wonderfully weird assortment of styles and periods.

The performances here are so strong that they aren't overwhelmed by the spectacular visual production values. Charles Workman is superb as the Prince. His large, heroic, and expressive tenor gives what could be a silly character a gravity and deeply felt humanity, and he's a completely compelling actor. There are no weak links in the huge cast, but a few deserve to be singled out for special attention. The opera features two female villains, both a wicked princess and a wicked enchantress. The voluptuousness of Hannah Esther Minutillo's singing and acting as Princess Clarisse perfectly matches her slinky, lizard-green evening gown (and she has fabulous green eyelashes.) Her partner in crime, the courtier Leandro, sung with appropriate sleaziness by Guillaume Antoine, is gotten up to look for all the world like John Cleese as Basil Fawlty. As the enchantress Fata Morgana, Béatrice Uria-Monzon sings with a brazen bravura that entirely justifies her outrageous dominatrix costume. José van Dam brings real authority to the small role of Tchélio -- talk about luxury casting! Aleksandra Zamojska's (the good) Princess Ninette is beautifully demure and delicate. Barry Banks sings wonderfully as Truffaldino, but the role is dramatically tricky because it requires the character to be continually funny, a challenge that's tough to bring off. Victor von Halem practically steals the show as the 12-foot Cook -- the varieties of expressiveness he's able to convey, even under pounds of makeup, is incredible and one of the highlights. The director's and designer's sole miscalculation, and it's a big one, is having Smeraldina, "une Noire," costumed and made up according to the conventions of American black-face minstrel shows of a bygone era. Lucia Cirillo sings the role richly and passionately, though.

The opera is sung in French, as it was at its premiere in Chicago in 1921. Anyone who loves grand operatic spectacles, and/or Russian opera, and/or theater of the absurd should consider this DVD.

Fu Cosimo I a rafforzare il potere mediceo in modo tanto solido da garantire alla famiglia il governo sino all’esaurimento della dinastia per mancanza di eredi. Nominato duca dal Consiglio della città, commissionò a Giorgio Vasari la progettazione del palazzo degli Uffizi. Del mecenatismo della famiglia Medici trasse beneficio anche Galileo Galilei, che grazie alla sua protezione potè condurre i suoi studi.

La battaglia tra Galileo e la Chiesa sulle leggi dell’universo rivive nell’avvincente storia di un’esistenza condotta tra eroismo ed eresia.
Il filmato ripercorre la vita privata e gli affetti di Galileo, ricostruendo i momenti chiave della sua biografia come le osservazioni al telescopio o i rivoluzionari esperimenti sul movimento dei corpi. Sullo sfondo, il quadro dell’Italia del Seicento: la tragedia della peste e il lusso delle corti, mentre la speculazione scientifica più avanzata del mondo convive con la censura più oscurantista.
Infine l’accusa di eresia dell’Inquisizione: imputato di aver sostenuto la teoria eliocentrica di Copernico, Galileo, già malato, ebbe salva la vita. Minacciato di tortura e condannato al carcere a vita, fu costretto ad abiurare le sue teorie. Ma la via per la scienza moderna era tracciata.




Vincitore di due Emmy Awards.
