Al campo di addestramento dei marines di Parris Island il sergente Hartman imperversa. Insulta le reclute, le schiavizza, le angaria con ogni mezzo. Il loro unico compagno deve essere il fucile, l'unico scopo diventare delle macchine da guerra. Joker (Modine), per quanto indipendente e anticonformista, ci riesce. Il soldato Lawrence (D'Onofrio), soprannominato "Palla di lardo", non regge la vita militare e i soprusi di cui è continuamente vittima e impazzisce: spara al sergente, quindi si ammazza. Nella seconda parte del film Joker, assegnato alla sezione propaganda, ritrova in Vietnam il suo vecchio compagno "Cowboy" e ne segue il reparto in alcune azioni di guerra. Il gruppo avanza in una città devastata dai bombardamenti, apparentemente abbandonata. Finché si trova sotto il fuoco di un cecchino che inizia a decimarne le fila. Con una sortita Joker e alcuni compagni vanno a stanare il vietcong: scopriranno che è una ragazza, poco più che bambina.

Dopo lo sterminio cylone, la specie umana consta di soli 49.998 sopravvissuti. Il Comandante William Adamo guida la Flotta Coloniale a bordo del Galactica, unica astronave militare salvatasi dall'attacco alle Dodici Colonie, mentre Laura Roslin assume la difficile carica di presidente presso il Colonial One. Insieme guidano l'umanità verso una nuova casa, la leggendaria tredicesima colonia nota come Terra. La Flotta è sottoposta a continui attacchi da parte dei Cyloni, e fatica a restare unita dopo ogni salto. I piloti di Viper, tra i quali spicca il tenente Kara "Scorpion" Thrace, sono sotto il comando di Lee Adamo, figlio del comandante. Lo scienziato Gaius Baltar, il responsabile dell'attacco cylone, è anch'egli a bordo della Flotta e tenta di conquistare la fiducia dei piani alti costruendo un congegno in grado di rilevare la natura di un cylone umanoide. Allo stesso tempo inizia ad avere visioni del cylone che lo sedusse su Caprica, numero Sei, che sostiene di essere un angelo di Dio. Intanto, Scorpion si reca a Caprica per recuperare la Freccia di Apollo, un antico manufatto che secondo le Scritture aprirebbe le porte della Tomba di Atena, luogo mistico che aiuterebbe l'umanità a trovare la rotta verso la Terra...

TRAMA

Fuggito dal Triangolo del Diavolo a bordo della Silent Mary, un tempo maestosa, ora oscura e decadente, Salazar sembra avere un conto in sospeso proprio con lo svampito Sparrow, la unica speranza di sopravvivenza risiede nel leggendario Tridente di Poseidone ma per riuscire a trovarlo sarà costretto ad allearsi con la brillante e affascinante astronoma Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario) e il risoluto Henry Turner (Brenton Thwaites), giovane marinaio della Royal Navy. Al timone di una nave piccola e malandata, Jack si prepara ad affrontare l'oceano, rassegnato alla sorte avversa e allo scontro con i nemici passati che proprio non ne vogliono sapere di morire definitivamente. Dieci anni dopo l'invasione di Naboo da parte della Federazione dei Mercanti, la Repubblica Galattica è minacciata da un movimento separatista organizzato dall'ex maestro Jedi Conte Dooku. La senatrice Padmé Amidala arriva a Coruscant con lo scopo di votare una mozione per creare un esercito che aiuti i Jedi contro questa minaccia. Dopo aver evitato un attentato al momento dell'arrivo, viene posta sotto la protezione del Cavaliere Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi e il suo apprendista Anakin Skywalker. I due Jedi contrastano un secondo attentato sulla sua vita e catturano la responsabile, Zam Wesell, una mutaforma che viene subito uccisa dal cacciatore di taglie per cui lavora prima che possa rivelare la sua identità. Il Consiglio Jedi assegna Obi-Wan a identificare e catturare il cacciatore di taglie, mentre Anakin viene assegnato a scortare Padmé nel suo ritorno a Naboo, dove i due si innamorano.

Un gigantesco spirito-cinghiale, trasfigurato in un demone a causa del rancore, attacca un villaggio di Emishi[4]. Trama:
Twin Peaks, nota anche come Twin Peaks: The Return, è una serie televisiva statunitense del 2017 creata da Mark Frost e David Lynch. Si tratta di un sequel della serie televisiva I segreti di Twin Peaks, trasmessa tra il 1990 e il 1991 pertanto è stato fatto riferimento a essa anche come "terza stagione di Twin Peaks".
La serie è stata sviluppata e scritta da Frost e Lynch nel corso di diversi anni ed è diretta interamente da Lynch. Numerosi membri del cast originale fanno ritorno, tra cui Kyle MacLachlan nel ruolo dell'agente speciale Dale Cooper, a cui si affiancano nuovi membri del cast come Naomi Watts, Jim Belushi, Michael Cera e Laura Dern.
