Il boss è soggetto ad attacchi di panico che lo portano sul lettino di una psicoanalista, alla quale confida ben presto i suoi turbamenti legati alla famiglia, in particolare nel rapporto col terribile personaggio della madre Livia: i suoi guai però passano anche attraverso il complesso legame con la moglie Carmela (connivente ma estranea alle imprese criminali del marito), i figli adolescenti, lo zio (fratello del padre) che non lo considera come boss e lo contrasta in ogni modo. A questi problemi personali si aggiungono quelli "lavorativi", in cui Tony deve destreggiarsi fra l'FBI, traditori della sua stessa famiglia e boss in ascesa di famiglie rivali.

Variety l’ha definita così reale da dimenticare che è fiction (“so-real-you’ll-forget-it’s-drama”), la stampa americana l’ha consacrata come la più autentica descrizione della vita militare mai andata in onda sul piccolo schermo. Nata dai creatori di The Wire Ed Burns e David Simon, Generation Kill è un intransigente resoconto dell’attacco americano in Iraq, raccontato dalla prospettiva dei Marines che l’hanno realmente vissuto. La miniserie è tratta dall’omonimo romanzo di Evan Wright, giornalista di Rolling Stone che ha seguito il primo battaglione esploratori dei Marines durante la guerra irachena del 2003, documentandone le vicissitudini in una serie di articoli dapprima pubblicati sul magazine, e nel 2004 raccolti in un pluripremiato romanzo dal titolo omonimo. Divenuto ben presto un grande successo di critica letteraria, il libro di Wright, che è stato l’unico giornalista ad essersi “embedded” nel più aggressivo e pericoloso corpo militare che esista, risultò fornire in America “una prospettiva unica, mai vista prima dal pubblico americano, sulla guerra in Iraq e le truppe che vi combatterono”. La veridicità della sua descrizione diventa dunque unica: “Generation Kill fornisce un punto di vista assolutamente interiore e così facendo dà ai lettori la possibilità di conoscere qualcosa che raramente è stato visto nei film americani e in TV”, come afferma Simon – creatore della serie – a proposito del libro che nel 2004 verrà classificato dal People nella Top Ten letteraria statunitense. Nel 2003 la HBO decide di lavorare al progetto di conversione degli articoli in una miniserie televisiva, scegliendo come produttori proprio David Simon ed Ed Burns. Simon – giornalista e scrittore di polizieschi – e Burns – ex poliziotto della sezione omicidi di Baltimora – danno vita insieme allo stesso Wright ad un progetto diviso in sette parti, che risulta essere una fedele ricostruzione del romanzo. Con le regia di Susanna White nelle puntate 1,2,3 e 7, e di Simon Cellan Jones nelle puntate 4, 5 e 6, Generation Kill deve la sua unicità anche alla collaborazione di due Marines in essa descritti - Sergente Eric Kocher e il Capitano Jeffrey Carisalez – e al sapiente lavoro di ricostruzione di Rudy Reyes, Sergente durante la guerra in Iraq che appare nella serie nel ruolo di se stesso.

Mentre Pernell visita il figlio in ospedale ha alcune allucinazioni che lo conducono a un agente di polizia: Pernell crede che sia l'uomo che ha stuprato sua nuora. Nonostante l'interrogatorio che prova l'innocenza dell'agente, Pernell non si arrende e recluta Keith Dennison, un uomo violento con l'ossessione per la religione. Convinto di essere stato scelto da Dio per infliggere giustizia, Pernell comincia la sua crociata dall'uomo che ha rovinato la sua famiglia.

Rick Grimes is a former Sheriff's deputy who has been in a coma for several months after being shot while on duty. The Walking Dead è un drama ricco di azione e suspense che racconta la storia di un gruppo di cittadini americani sopravvissuti a un'invasione di zombie. Guidati dal poliziotto Rick Grimes (interpretato dall’attore inglese Andrew Lincoln, già visto in Afterlife), i superstiti vagano alla ricerca di un posto sicuro dove potersi rifugiare e, lungo il cammino, affrontano numerosi pericoli e conflitti, anche di natura personale: non esiste più un posto dove sentirsi al sicuro e non è più tempo di sperare. Bisogna solo sopravvivere, ad ogni costo!

Nella sesta stagione vedremo Rick e Morgan impegnati in un duro scontro per contendersi il controllo della città di Alexandria. Sarà proprio questo loro aspro confronto a essere il vero protagonista di questo nuovo capitolo. Il gruppo di Rick però, sembra non essere più compatto come un tempo e molti cominciano a non sopportare i modi con cui il loro capo risolve le problematiche della città. Riuscirà Rick a riportare l'armonia del gruppo senza trascurare le minacce che arrivano dall'esterno?
